So... did anyone cheat in "Two Truths and a lie"?
I'm curious what happens if you cheat? I didn't myself, and I can't find a single playthough online that did, which is expected I guess: Most players who'd play this game for the first time would play it fair & square. But now I'm really curious about what happens if you go all-truth? All-lie? One truth and two lies?

What's Rachel reaction to that? I guess I could go see myself, but, yeah, I figured I'd just ask here!

I did. I only told the truth. She takes it well. Still wanna see what happens if you only tell lies.

I did the first play through...believe I did two lies.

This isn't my play through, but here is the 2 lies 1 truth result Her ressponse starts at 10:36 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afMBuYeoUVg

Truthfully, this is one of those times you choice doesn't really matter. You will get a different response, but it goes to the same path all other responses go.

The one thing that bugs me with one of the lies is the broken hand one. There is zero way Rachel could tell if Chloe broke her hand (not her wrist which is what is said) just by looking. The scar proves Chlloe broke her wrist, still says nothing about her hand(s).

As someone who has broken both hands, I speak from experience with that ;) One hand you can plainly see where it was broke. The other hand you can feel the bones which are broke but not see them.

I did but it was a mistake lol. XD i thought it was 2 lies and 1 truth.. I'm such a tool. Indeed, Rachel notices it and let you know. I'm not sure however if it affects her feelings for you at the end. Probably. But not enough to make her reject you lol. Just well, if you cheat, i guess she has maybe less trust in you. No big deal.

One probably could have had broken something on the hand without surgical intervention to leave a scar. I mean, I've broken fingers myself with no scars to speak of. Now both pinkies, for example, can bend normally and can also be forced sideways one way.

Don't forget it was a guessing game. The game doesn't say that thereis no way someonr could break her hands without being noticeable, it just says Rachel believes that Chloe used this scar to make her believe the story and she is bragging about how she recognized the scar.

There probably was no right or wrong answer. It may depend on what you choose is canon.

Don't forget: They're teenagers - they think they know everything ;)

So far. So far. I somehow expect Rachel to yell at Chloe at some point "you cheated on me even in a game, how can I trust you?" or something, if you actually cheat.

Isn't this like Whose Line? The facts don't matter and the points are made up?
DR GOO Sep 11, 2017 @ 10:20am
I lied on all three during one play through, and she didnt respond affectionately during the "something more" choice, I guess she doesn't take well to you cheating. her responce straight after kinds felt "wrong"

I've done all possible variations in collectable mode, and you get different dialog with each combination of truth/lie, but I haven't noticed any downstream effects in the game after you leave the train yet. That said, I've only played through the end with following the rules and one time where I lied twice.

Be careful with that though. Actions have consequences.

Indeed. Some more than others.

Which is why I wish we had a "restart from scene" and "Copy game from this point" function in our save games. :/
CZBGR Icepick Sep 11, 2017 @ 2:37pm
Meh, I just stick with one tree and see how it goes. The other two saves are alternates.
Brewski Sep 11, 2017 @ 2:43pm
I keep my original blink play through untainted for games like this. So it's the first one I will use when episode 2 and 3 launch.

I also play with the other two slots, as I like to (eventually) see every branch I can.

That's whta made the original games copy/continue options so nice. I could reset back to one specific scene, cheange my decision(s) and see how the rest of the game played out without the need to play through the entire game again.

So even though BTS is a lot smaller, especially with only one episde out, I do wish we had the same options here.
