PC vs PS4 Controls

I've played Before the Storm on both PC and PS4 and the movement and controls on PS4 are absolutely awful. I'm not sure if this is just how the game is on PS4 or if there's something going on with my specific console.

It's hard to explain, but on PS4, if you're walking forward and try to turn slightly using the left stick, you basically have two options: keep walking forward or make a full 90 degree turn to the left or right. Even with VERY gradual stick inputs, it's still either all or nothing. The stick behaves more like a D-pad than an analogue stick. It's very jarring and breaks the immersion when Chloe is abruptly zig-zagging because you wanted to walk at a slight angle to the camera.

And then there's the camera. At times, it seems the right stick is behaving more like a D-pad than an analogue stick. Very small inputs seem to move the camera at nearly the same speed as if you moved the stick all the way. The camera movement speed also seems to randomly speed up and slow down. Say you want to look at something slightly off-center so you start to move the camera when suddenly it decides to speed up and now you're looking 180 degrees from where you wanted. I've tried adjusting the sensitivity but setting it low enough so it isn't too fast when it decides to speed up means it's painfully slow when it decides to be slow/normal speed.

PC, on the other hand, controls very similarly to how the original Life is Strange controlled. Nice, fluid, movement and controls. None of the janky zig-zagging and wildly flailing camera.

It definitely feels like there's something off with the analogue stick calibration in the game itself. And before you say my controller is junk, I used the same controller and had no issues on PC. Has anyone else had problems with the controls on PS4? I'm just trying to figure out if it's something within the game's code or if perhaps something went wrong during the install?

I don't know for PS4 but on PC-Steam with keyboard+mouse if you are walking and press the diagonal of W-A-S-D,for example W+A or W+D,Chloe start walking in diagonal (like all games I have played on PC..) but after some seconds it start to turn-around...So It's a strage design-decision or bug...

I had that problem too - don't hold down R2... lightly press and it's better... but yeah I hope they fix that. I think L1 and R1 were meant for the twist camera and they mapped the keys wrong.

I haven't played it on the PS4 but I did use my PS4 controller for both LiS1 and BtS and both worked great.

So it is likely the Playstation version is my guess.
