Original LiS Final Choice (SPOILERS)

Ok, so maybe the spoiler warning is silly.

That's assuming that there are people reading this that haven't played the original Life is Strange.

Anyways...

Regarding the final choice of saving Chloe or Arcadia Bay, did Episode 1 of Before the Storm change your decision? For me, it solidified my choice of saving Chloe. No clue why, but the idea of leaving Arcadia Bay with Max gives continuity in terms of what Chloe wanted (even though Arcadia Bay gets destroyed in the process). No idea whether or not seeing Arcadia Bay get annihilated would change her thinking about life or other people.

Nah. That's as likely as her realizing that playing on railroad tracks is a bad idea.

Anyways, thoughts?

No not really. It was either saving Chloe or saving the whole town. Episode 1 didn't change my thought process in any way. Letting the town get destroyed for the sake of 1 person seemed selfish, considering that Chloe was always meant to die in the toilets.

I did both finals so I didn't have to decide one xD I will face that decision in Life is Strange 2, my heart can wait a bit longer hahaha

I saved Chloe on my first playthrough but changed my mind the 2nd time round, and that felt like the more complete ending to the game. This hasn't changed my mind, but there are 2, or 3 more episodes yet.

I think saving the town is the canon choice (as its cutscene seems more comeplete)

Weirdly, I was pretty satisfied and at peace with my choice at the end of ep. 5 and this doesn't change it in the slightest. I saved Chloe then, I think of Chloe as alive, and at no point during Before The Storm did I think "Wow, I should really kill this girl in a few years".

I completely understand saving Arcadia Bay, really. I just wasn't tempted to do it, and nothing about Before The Storm is swaying me that way yet.

I agree. This thread really belong in the LiS forum. The ending has no real bearing on this game.

The ending had more length to it, but the casualties for the ending where you choose Chloe is also low. They already said the second season of LiS will not have Max and Chloe. They will be using a whole new cast. For those that don't know go to the original LiS strange community page and click on the News tab. This game is just a money grab for those that like Chloe.

Sacrifising Chloe is more meaningful ending to the story

I don't know why but i always think the sacrificing chloe was the best decision
The ending was very detailed ( i mean they made the ending very well and ... the soundtrack ( spanish sahara ) and the logic ( why should i save one of my friends and sacrifices the poor people) ?

It was the hardest decision of my life to chose between Chloe or Arcadia bay.. stayed in front of computer for 15 mitnutes not knowing what to do. Ultimately, I picked something else the game would still be open waiting on me to decide smething (it was few years ago lol)

Something you have to know about me is how I dislike to reload save in that kind of game. The first playthrougth is the most authentic and true... reloading save completely destroy the spontaneity that you have the very first time you make a choice... so I NEVER EVER reload a save to change my mind. Even if the result is not the one I was excepting. And in my opinion, assuming your choices is part of the game and what makes it the most diffiicult to play. I admit it was the ONLY time I did it because I couldnt make a decision and wanted to see both choice.
Other important thing: I played the game really quickly.. in a matter of days I went throught all the episodes so I was completely under emotions when I took my decision. I realized that after waiting for sometime (few weeks) and thinking about it again, my decision was not exactly the one I picked at first.

Honestly, i picked Arcadia Bay at first... several weeks after, I was more down to save Chloe... after playing Before the storm? Totally saving Chloe.
