Can I use a PS3 controller?

I used to use a PS2 controller emulated by x360ce for Life is Strange, and now I have a PS3 one and I want to play Before the Storm with it, but I'm afraid of Denuvo. I don't really know how it works, or if my question is just a dumb one, but could be a problem if I copy the files generated by x360ce on BtS folder? As I read Denuvo affects edited files on games folder, I'm not sure if it's legit to do that.

Just try it out I'd say, it's not like denuvo is gonna ban your game or anything :) Worst case would be the game not starting I guess, and you can just remove the files again if that's the case.

No need to worry about that, Denuvo has nothing to do with controller compatibility. You also can't really get a ban in a single-player game.

By the way, I've tried to use an Xbox360-like controller and the game just wouldn't let me, even in the how to play section and in the controls sections it seemed the game was not controller ready yet, although it had a vibration option.

Let me know if you guys managed to use one!

My wireless Xbox One controller worked without any issues right out of the box, but I seem to be really lucky on the technical side of the game, apparently a lot of users experience crashes and other issues, while I didn't run into even the smallest issue while playing through the episode :)

Well I guess I'll have to thank for not having any other issue and it might be my perfect excuse to play it again until next episode comes out!

You could always try to use "x360ce", it's a little tool to make Windows think that your controller is a proper xbox-controller.

XOne controllers seem to work just fine, it's the X360 controllers that experience issues from what I've seen.

Finally, I just tried to make it work with x360ce but as I expected after reading all the problems, it doesn't work xD
It detects the controller because the cursor disappear when I press any button of the controller, but I can't even move through main menu options, or click in it.

any solution to that? tried to make it work with x360ce and ps2 controller as well, but no chance.
On Life Is Strange it worked flawless :(

Even though it should work with xbox 360 controllers before the last update, I tried it with the same x360ce configuration as in the original LiS (with both ps2 and ps3 controllers) but it didn't work :(
