Time Travel?
How does time travel fit into this story now, If it fits in at all, anyone know anything? Will Rachel be the one to develop the power?

Nope no powers.
This game as far as i know will be about Chloe and her decision.
So..nothing about power so far. Not sure if there will be but if, we just hear it later anyway.

For now...think about this as a game where its..if you choose, you did choose.
What other gameplay mechanics they implement we will see.

Obviously at some point Rachel will be perhaps kidnapped at some point by the professor?

Hm it plays 3 years before. So if it happens, then at the end of the Story maybe? I think they not miss out the story about Rachel getting kidnapped.
But thats nothing anyone but them know yet.

No, this is set a few years before that.
Chloe met Rachel when she was 16, this is about that time. Rachel disappeared 6 months before Max returned to Arcadia Bay when she was already 19.
I highly doubt this game will span 3 years of story.
There is also no reason to tell that story again, we know what happened from LiS.

Also: just a nitpick but it was not Jefferson who kidnapped Rachel, it was Nathan on his own because he wanted to emulate Jefferson and he had the hots for Rachel. Jefferson usually did not kill his victims, just drugged them and took their pictures like with Kate. It only escalated when Max & Chloe started to investigate and threatened to unmask him with that.

Good points, perhaps Nathans Father will play a role and the mansion as a scene as well?

I think we will see in this prequel something that connects Cloë to her murder in the first game, I think one of them has a power maybe different, like premonition, maybe in this Rachel or Cloë messes the time or the destiny and then she sees what has she done and at the end has her final destiny, I think that Rachel may be the one with the power, she advices Cloë at the last chapter what will happen to her, because Chloë told Max in the first Life Is Strange she and Rachel has some things in common

Well, i recall that Rachel was well loved and known, just like how Max was viewed by majority of the student body, so i wouldn't be surprised if she has powers at some point.

If Rachel has a super power how come she ended up dead?, Obviously Chloe and the guy in the RV play a major role in the down fall of Rachel?
Also what about Chloe's parents, the dad is due to die (car crash), obviosly this is a pinnacle moment?

Why ever play this pile of garbage when you already know how it will end, adding in some ♥♥♥♥ like chloe trying to kill herself isnt going to fix anything

Just remember your choices do NOT matter

Actually, i think there is time travel, just not in the way you might think. im aware this is an old discussion, but the woman that we see Rachels dad making out with is actually a time travelling Chloe Price. First of all, they have the same hair color. Second, even though Chloe doesnt have them at the time of Before the Storm, they do share the same tattoos. And third, we never get to see her face. What reason would they have to hide her face from us except that we already know the person were looking at and they dont want us to know it yet? Im wondering just how it would fit into the story, and maybe it even takes a much crazier turn. We know from the end of Episode 2 that Rachels mother isnt actually her mother. So maybe, is it possible that Chloe will at some point go back in time by Max messing around and she ends up having Rachel as a child? I know, this is one of the "Way out there" parts, but considering time travel is a thing in Life is Strange, at least the Time Traveller Chloe part would make sense.

Ummn no that was true about Kate but NOT Rachel, she was kidnapped by Jefferson but while she was there Nathan got some "alone time" with her and tried to emulate his mentor Jefferson and that is how she got the overdose.
