TGC 2 Abandoned for now. :(

Will TGC2 be updated at all going forward since TGC 2019 has been announced? In the future, will HB go back to preferring to update TGC 2019 rather than putting out a separate, annual title such as TGC 2020, for instance?
Our focus is on The Golf Club 2019. The roadmap for The Golf Club after the release later this year is still TBD. With that said, we are planning post-launch support for several months after launch day, the content of that is still in discussion.

Here is the First thing, (And this won't happen), if they gave some sort of a discount for those who have supported earlier editions of this game, that would go a ways to softening the blow to the wallet and mindset.

What WILL be interesting is if they manage to make the 3rd game adjustable in terms of difficulty without the difficulty being the (poorly recieved) TGC2 swing mechanics.

I have read (due to feedback) major changes to it are coming and also shot shaper would be (optionally) there as well.

I would NEVER again pre-order a game from them, but I am not so self-spiteful that I would not embrace a NEW game if it was in fact, more fun for me than TGC (Original) a game I love and play Every week.


The noisy few hangers-on who wanted this game to be the final version are slowly (very slowly) understanding that the game must be enjoyable to the MOST POSSIBLE PEOPLE (mpp) in order for it to make HB the Maximum revenue for their efforts (IKR?).


I will follow development and see where it goes, unless the Devs are complete idiots (and I don't think that they are), they will have a long and meaningful Beta group to check the game out.

Some of the those who liked the first game, some who liked the second, and others who felt both games were lacking or wonderful.


Here is the Other thing, the game needs to sell to the most people who will not refund it, to do that the game must be both fun and adjustably challenging.


IF they don't do the First and the Other thing, I cannot vouch for this 3rd stab at a golf game working out.

BETA TEST the Heck out of it.

First version has the following actual complaints.

Not super optimized if you have a low end PC.

Shooting straight can be TOO easy if you adjust your mouse DPI.

Otherwise TGC (Original) is VASTLY more fun than TGC2. TGC2 is a financial failure (hence the abandoned game) and move to TGC3.
