General Questions
Hey,

If you have any general questions or just want to introduce yourself - feel free to post it here :)

I'm the developer of the game and will be glad to see anything you have to say.

Check the discussion i made

Will there be any future updates for this game? The dodge mechanic really does get inspiration from 1942. Instead of a somersault, it's a dive to temporarily escape before surfacing again.

:D

Hey! :) I'm hoping to do a minor bugfix/quality of life update soon (fixing ui glitches / adding scores after explosion), but since there was not much other feedback, I don't intend to work on it right now.

If you have any ideas - you are certainly welcome to share them (yes, I record them down, even if I don't get to implement them). In any case, I really appreciate that you checked the game out, this, by itself, is the greatest possible reward to me.

Also, if you like the game, leaving a review really helps me, as we're just two developers who are just trying to get noticed. :)

Cheers.

Showing the point values after destroying an enemy does sound nice, especially for score chasers. Maybe implement it as an optional choice for those who want to avoid massive clutter when more enemies start spawning.

With only 2 jets in the game, I propose that a third one be added. Here are my proposed stats for it:

Name: Harrier
Speed: 680 or 700
Guns: 2 (260 or 300 ammo)
Life: 4 or 5
Buy: 100

If another plane is ever made for the game, the "Flying 11" come to mind since there are currently 10 in the roster :D

Thanks for your suggestion! :) We're mostly trying to stick to ~WW2 planes (Harrier is much later), but if we decide to make an addon - I promise I'll consider putting it in. The two in-game planes are prototyped after https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messerschmitt_Me_262 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_F-86_Sabre

Here are some more suggestions to a possible new plane while sticking to the WW2 time frame:

Shinden: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyushu_J7W
Meteor: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloster_Meteor
Mosquito: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Mosquito
I sorta wish there was a little more to the game as well, becasue I dont have all the acheviements, but there is nothing really left to do exept more of the same thing again and again...
Dont get me wrong, I love the game, but i wish there was a little more to it.

Well, I've planned the game to be this small :) It has to end somewhere.

I'm hoping to start working on a bigger game next time though.

I would just like to say how much I am enjoying playing this game - it brings back fond memories of TIME PILOT in the arcades during the 1980's!
comrad_gremlin  [developer] Mar 6, 2017 @ 1:17pm
Really happy to hear that! :) Thank you, I'm a huge fan of old arcade games too (that's why I wanted to make something like that), even though I have not played Time Pilot in particular :)

If you enjoy the game - I would really appreciate if you leave a good review (or tell your friends that might enjoy this), as every one of these help the game get noticed.
Time Pilot! that's the game I was thinking of. I knew I had seen a similar game in the arcades but just could not recall what it was called. Thankyou.

There is something very odd about the directional controls to this game with my XB360 pad couldn't you just change it so that the plane goes in the direction you push the joystick, that's about the best system I think. Otherwise could you set it so that we can re configure the controls. I've tried to use pinnacle but it's impossible because the settings I give it re act with your settings so I get one acteon doing two things.

I've thought about doing it this way, but then there'd be a need for separate buttons for boost/slow down. Right now it's just left-right direction to turn and up-down to boost/slow down.

I'll add it to my feedback log and update the thread if this changes.
