I've played games like Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, FF VII Remake Integrated, and many others that required more requirements than Phantom Brigade for ten hours a day. If you don't get crashing errors, I'm happy for you, but there are people who get crashed, and we can NEVER be left behind, although it works perfectly for most players. So now I just have to wait for them to update and optimize it.
I do only play in fullscreen mode, and only at 1920x1080 resolution. Maybe you're pushing your hardware harder?
I agree that games should be released as bug free as possible, but aside from telling us you have a PC that meets specs and keeping updated you have informed us of little else. Fact is that crashes can occur for multiple different reasons a lot of the time its software other times hardware. Considering how much junk Windows ships with nowadays its a miracle people can even use the calculator.
Does the crash/es occur during missions, or doing certain events or in UI/menu? Do you use mods? What settings are you using? What type of crash is it, ie. game freezes, pc restart, driver errors, drive errors, ram errors?
Rather than throwing a tantrum, give information that might enable other players or the devs themselves the ability to help. Its not a blame game but if you want help so you can get back to playing how it should then ranting on the forums is going to get you and anyone else with a similar issue absolutely nowhere.
Yeah, I was going to try and help, but after that immature display, you're on your own.
Considering there are very few reports of actual crashes with this game, I'd consider it highly likely that there is some issue with your set up rather than the game, which I admit has bugs, and is therefore not perfect.
As a PC gamer you take a certain amount of responsibility for your own equipment due to the huge number of potential hardware and software conflicts that can arise compared to consoles. Therefore you can't just assign every issue to the developers to fix.
Please, read me and i hope you dont insulte me like others, thx a lot.
"The game frequently suffers from severe hard crashes, not the sort of thing you can Alt+Tab out of, I mean freeze, black-screen, followed by total no-response from the computer except what looks like a black screen reboot loop?, both my monitors turn on and off as they do when restarting, but either way It forces a manual restart. I've never had a game do this before and I think its the save system breaking though I cant be sure, as it occurs at initiation or closing of a battle, but the auto-save can be loaded after the fact so I just don't know". Comment posted by another user, who put the title of his comment: Game Hard Crashing issues. You can look it up if you want, I'm not lying, believe me.
This is exactly the same thing that happens to me. It already happened to me with Lost Judgment in the Ijincho area, a large map where the game takes place, however the developer, Ryu Ga Gotoku, fixed the problem, due to poor compatibility with various GTX series graphics cards. My complaints can't stay on Steam forums, and I went to Sega customer support to file a report in that case.
Now I'm going to submit the problem to the official site of Brace Yourself Games, to see if it tells them about this type of problem.
An now about me, could you tell me where my "tantrum" is in my comment? It is for having written: "I wish I could request a refund, because I have no reason to continue playing unless they optimize and fix it.", true? It's not a tantrum, it's frustration, but in any case, I've already clarified what's happening to me, even though I don't have two monitors. I don't want you to misunderstand me, I don't mean to rant about Phantom Brigade.
If the game works without errors for you, I'm happy for you, enjoy it, it's a good game, but I must do what I have written to you. Thanks for your time and take care, bye.
Otherwise please make a bug report and ensure you include
1) dxdiag
2) data from Steam-Help-System Information
3) your player.log
4) anything in the event viewer would also be helpful as application crashes generally show what module/dll caused the crash
You can find where the player.log is in our sticky

Have had similar issues in the past, was sometimes able to solve by rolling back drivers, or posting issue to devs of the game and Nvidia and hoping for drivers to get fixed. Can also try fresh install of Drivers, may or may not help, basically uninstall GPU drivers and then full install of the GPU drivers all over. Haven't had the issue since i upgraded my GPU but Nvidia/AMD sometimes push things a bit far with their drivers and can result in errors for various reasons incl. overheating.
You might also get a hint via 'reliability monitor' on windows, it gives a timeline with various info including updates its installed, and errors among others this can give hints as sometimes a windows update may have occured that causes it and that has happened many, MANY times to me in the past. For example one of my crashes in Wo Long also had a windows hardware error occur at the same time, but only one of the crashes mind you.
Hopefully your issue is an easy fix.
The truth is that I did not expect a user like you, normally when I comment on a game error on Steam, it is all insults and disrespect. Thanks again, bye.
On the other hand, I have already updated the new Nvidia drivers, they were released just yesterday, among other things for RE 4 remake for example, although I don't know how Phantom Brigade will go.
And finally, I will wait for them to update or patch the game, you can read patch 1.04 so you can see the errors that the developers are aware of.
It's been a pleasure chatting with you, I hope everyone on the Steam forums is as supportive as you.
