Railguns are the best oneshots
More specifically the lancer (more accurate) with cooling and supercharge you can dish out 5 shots in 1 turn.
Or the striker (higher dmg potential) with targeting sensor you basically have a lancer that shoots 5 times. Of course this really only works if your mech has a heat dissipation of >50.

midway sniper deletes targets at long distances and needs barely time with a quick loader mod to do so

railguns are fun though, no doubt in that - got a swift mech that can run from cover to cover and pelter enemies from the other side using railguns

The dice sniper has the most range but personally I find these ballistic snipers to be super inaccurate in comparison to the railgun variants.

railgun have a way better stationnary/idle accuracy, but they have worse moving accuracy...
they have extremle speed of projectile so shooting moving target is nice
their projectile cease ot exist after max range

2 of the sniper have concusion in their damage type and/or impact (if you need some)
also sniper have overall more damages per activation and produce less heat by default.

Getting a good a cooled and superchagred sniper and you also will be able to shot it 4-5 time per phase.

But you cannot shot throught wall and usually need to equip some accuracy mods on your mech to make the long range fire a bit more reliable, since 4° of deviation can be quite annoying at range.


so to simplifie

Railgun are more user friendly sinc ehtey pierce and start more reliable but their projectiles vanish when out of range

Sniper hit harder and can hit above their max range. can concus or break cover. but are more loadout dependant.

Stabilized Sniper Rifle SR1 with rare Expanded Magazine on a mech with Tsubasa torso, Elbrus legs, Vidar or Elbrus arms (if you go for heat or for a bit longer dashes) can make wonders (all the parts with Improved Cooling III)

I made a few weapon combos that i like and are really effecetive in my mind (in one round deletes a mech from 100 to 0)

Sniper Rifle that has 5 shots, Expanded Magazine (increases the number of shots from 5 to 7), Range and Hybrid Sensors, 1 Heatsink maybe.

Shotgun Auto, that has 5 shot. Expanded Magazin Expanded Magazine (increases the number of shots from 5 to 7), Focused Reactor, Precision Sensor, Hybrid Sensor. (the cone will be so narrow that it hits almost all pellet beyond optimal range.

SL10 Missile launcher, Expanded magazine increase the missiles from 10 to 14.
Heatsinks :) This one is delayed damage but insane,

Expanded magazine carries the day :)

Flux railgun (shotgun raildun), Expanded magazine doesnt work here sadly, but reinforced stock does, with hybrid and precision sensors and/or with focused reactor. The Spread of the pellets will be pretty narrow, and can oneshot multiple enemies in a line.

I tend to run heavies and mediums. Just liberated the capital with these 14-15 lvl mechs.
However instead of flux railshotgun i had an autorifle that i got. (my sniper rifle was lvl 12, yet oneshoted most enemy that landed.)

Also It seems, that is just not worth bothering anything else but blue gear once you can get those.

Expanded Magazine on the UHMG is pretty awesome.

I've really been enjoying my mech with PLR Pulse (Adjustable/Destabilizing) primary and RS Barrage (Quick Loading/Concussive) secondary. Currently rocking full Vidar with the core that gives extra stagger, etc. and some reduced scatter secondary upgrades. He knocks 'em down and knocks 'em out.

I'm enjoying the 1x12 shot railgun repeater, with all my slots going towards minimal scatter. The thing now has a scatter of 1m and it just deletes multiple enemies a turn, even though I can only get off 2-3 shots. It genuinely 1 shots stuff with surprising regularity.

The moment I saw the word "railgun" I tried it out, and now I'm using it exclusively with the exception of 1 long-range missile spammer on the back. My guys sit behind cover shooting at walls while my missile spammer unloads 36 missiles each turn, as god intended.
