Any charged particle beam weapons in this?
Weapons that build up energy then fire a massive beam.

They had something like it back in Front Mission 3 (one of my favorite games of all time).

There are beam weapons, yes.

Ones that function like that?
Not "zap zap" laser beams, but big charged particle ones?

yes, there are particle beams, they're just more continuous beams, not charge up.

And are the beams large? Or just slender streams?

And kind of sad that, I love the energy weapons that build up a massive amount of energy, to then release it in a stream, like the vids Heavy Neutron Guns.

Building up a mass of particles, accelerating them, then unleashing them in a massive controlled stream that tears through any matter in it's path.

Here. It's probably not exactly the laser you wanted but its good chunky beam.

Tsk, it just clicks on and off like a flash light, no build up, and the beam is so thin, no particles.

Ah well, if that is this games best beam weapon, then I think I will give it a pass for now. Maybe get it when it is on sale some time in the future when I have played through some of my other games.

Thanks for sharing the vid!

Basically, Space battles, and charged particle beam weapons.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Hh4jg6hCYc&t=23s stuff like this.

Or if you are into Gundam, stuff like Buster Cannons and Hyper Particle Cannons.

Who doesn't like laser beams? I'll laser them!

There's a heavy laser beam weapon. It's a the ultra heavy one. The beam has a minor fluctuating effect but no charge up that I can see.

This game is more for railgun or brrrt enthusiasts than laser ones.

Nah, there is no real build up, or impact, just a steady beam no bigger than the barrel. No explosion either.

Just a high frequency laser that can click on and off, rather than a weapon that builds up particles, accelerates and energizes them, then releases them in a stream surrounded by energetic plasma. (In Gundam Games there are a lot of partcile cannon style weapons, guess I am a bit too much of a Gundam nerd)
