How would the game run on a 2070 and I7-9700k
I'm reading mixed opinions about performance, I play on 1080p

I have a 2070 super and a 6600k. I can play at 1440p if I turn V-Sync off, although it slows down to 40 fps in battles. Changing the in-game graphics settings seems to have zero effect on this.

Since the GPU is not being fully utilized in battles, but the CPU gets maxed, this is clearly part of the same performance issues that pretty much everyone is having.

Anyway, you should be fine.

That's pretty close to my setup. I have a 2070s i7-9700k and I run it with everything at max on 3440x1440 on almost all settings at high with stable 55-60 fps, no dip.

Your game will run fine. Probably fine. I have a 970 and the only performance issues I have is the campaign map, which could be better.

In battles it's a solid 40. Yah... not that great. I could prob push it higher by decreasing some visual options, but it's so stable that I don't notice it and it's not an action game. There is no stutter when your'e trying to control because you don't control in real time, and in fact there is no stutter at all.

EDIT: I guess keep in mind I'm using an ultrawide monitor... I suppose stable 40 is not too bad for that card on 3440x1440 resolution.

Runs just fine on my 1070 and 7700k @ 1080, so I think you're good.

honestly super average.
if you are happy with 1080p go nuts.

anything else it will murder your system disproportionately....
