The pure joy of non-Supercharge perks
Yes, Supercharge gets you the most DPS almost all of the time. But I'm not in this for DPS anymore. I've fallen off the deep end. We're building dumb machines to prove a point here.

1. Rate of fire

The highest rate of fire achievable is with the UHMG Vulcan + Quick Loader III + Expanded Magazine III, at 202 rounds in 2.2s, or around 5,500RPM. That's comparable to modern gatling guns, even more impressive considering how much cooling that thing should require.

As a runner-up to the silliness, the MG3 with the same setup puts out 68 rounds per second, which is still a rather lively 4,080RPM, and certainly on the optimistic side for a single-barreled firearm.

On the canister side of things, the SG1 with the same setup puts out 9x24 fragments in 1.4 seconds, which is a stunning 9,257 projectiles per minute, though arguably that shouldn't count.

2. Speaking of shotguns...

Notice something interesting about the shotgun range graph? It has no damage falloff whatsoever. While normally this would be an academic point...

SG1 Auto + Stabilized III + Reinforced Stock III reduces the weapon's scatter to 4-6, which gives it a ridiculous optimal range of 20-120m. In fact, this range is so great that the projectiles will actually despawn from timeout before they get anywhere close to the end of their optimal range.

With an Accelerator III instead of Reinforced Stock, its scatter becomes 6-9 (nice), which still leaves it with a hideous 20-78m optimal range, outshooting the ARs and some DMRs.

3. Don't forget the SMGs

Due to its higher base scatter, SMG1 Tactical benefits more from Stabilized, which unfortunately leaves it without the hilarity that is Quick Loader. Speaking of which...

The SMG1 Mobile has a trick up its sleeve: it benefits from both of the above setups, with a Quick Loader III + Reinforced Stock III getting you 10 rounds in 0.4s, a scatter of 4 for an optimal range of 30-53m, and a decent damage falloff out to maybe 100m.

This, in my mind, makes the SMG1 Mobile comparable to some DMRs in usefulness at range. Absolutely wild.

Yeah, the HG1 Granite handgun might be the best weapon in the game. It's a shotgun so damage falloff is nonexistent, has pretty high concussion, generates nearly no heat and it weights a whooping 1 ton.

I always liked quickloader on my guns. Shorter time firing means more time to do other stuff. Shorter time too for enemies to get out of los.
