Unable to download assets: "Too many connections" and "server connection interrupted".

I can't play half of the maps I own because nothing will download. I have an account, and I've already tried logging it out and back in. I've tried downloading items individually and all at once. I've tried everything I know to try and nothing is working. The most common errors I see are "too many connections", "connection to server interrupted", and "no connection to server, check internet connection". I know I'm not the only person with this issue. Is there an easy solution to this?
