Only 1080p available on fullscreen / Multi-Monitor
This is kinda frustrating. Couple months ago when I bought this game I was able to choose my triple monitor resolution in the game options and play it on fullscreen. Now I can't. worth to mention it work well on older Trainz...

Now after all those recent updates I can only play 1080p on fullscreen and my multi-monitor resolution aren't available at all on list. Only way is to play in windowed mode and dragging the whole game window across three screens....😞

How to fix this? Any .ini config file i can edit?

Unfortunately, there is no fix, yet :( Devs forced a max limit 2560x1440 resolution for fullscreen in the latest update (the reason is SICK - "weak hardware of some players"). So, 16:9 with QHD is official maximum what you can get from Trainz 19, now.

This makes ZERO sense.

I was considering buying this until I saw the post.

I know there's going to be older PC's and Mac's out there... every new game has to face the fact that there are gamers that cannot afford a computer update. But that's why you design a game with ability to downgrade graphics and other settings to allow older computers to play the game, while providing higher resolution options to those gamers that CAN and DO have newer computers.

To arbitrarily remove those graphic settings options to protect older computers is to ignore a large segment of the customer base. And to include it and then remove the option is like bait and switch.

Hi All
Due to a combination of ongoing poor performance, in particular on Mac computers and lower specification Windows computers, and the fact that we do not officially support resolutions higher than 2560 wide (in particular with the UI in Trainz; going above 2560 may cause unexpected issues with the UI), we have forced a hard limit of 2560 wide when using full screen mode.

Windowed mode is available and allows you to expand the window to any screen size (with the resolution adapting automatically).

Unfortunately we have found that since your desktop size is set automatically, most users expect to be able to run at the same size with any hardware, not understanding that lower spec hardware will limit the resolution that can be displayed. Due to the number of complaints on this, this did become a factor in this decision.

However, as above, this is not just a performance issue but a technical issue as well. We have not actively tested or supported higher resolutions at this time, however we are investigating options to reintroduce higher resolutions in full screen mode; unfortunately I do not have a timeframe for this at the moment.

Well I jumped in and bought this yet another version. Been buying these since the first one... man I still miss the PaintShed... I hope further development continues along better graphics.

So because people try to run the game on a potato, or worse a Mac, and don't know how to deal with settings, you force everyone else to play with lesser settings too ? That is stupid beyond belief...

People have low performance problems? Hold my tea! Instead of fixing the engine, force them to use lower resolution, simple as that!

They are thinking about VR (pasted from other topic)

Why should the rest of us who have a decent gaming PC be penalized just because some people want to and continue to use Old and Outdated hardware and Operating Systems ???:steamsalty:
