Wild Game Hunter VR

Wild Game Hunter VR

Thoughts
I get scared to buy something that is new and a newly projected idea in VR when it is not in the early access atate. Finished games are better but the look of this game and the way it appears the shooting is being done "indicates" more polish needed. What are your plans as far as continuing to add content to the game? Whether it be more animals, land, guns, co-op, etc.?? Is this a done project? Thanks and sorry for all the questions.

Hi.

Thanks for reaching out. The game is meant to be in early access state, I'm not sure how it got marked as GA. Trying to figure that out now.

We are certainly planning on adding more levels to the game. Right now, the following are on the top list: Snow, island, plains, mountains.
The following animals are on the 'to integrate' list: rabbit, fox, elephant, lion, ping
We will also be adding leaderboards so you can compete against your friend.

But we are open to your suggestions. Let us know what you would like to see!

Updated the listing, we are in fact in early access.

Confirmed. /thumbs up. Merry Christmas. :steamhappy:
From the store page: "The MVP version of the app contains the following features:

* 4 different "days"
* a dozen (or more) animals per day to hunt "

MVP version? What does that mean?
Also is Co-op like a 2 man hunt team possible in the future?
Thanks again. Merry Christmas.

Whoops, sorry for our "startup-speak." MVP means "Minimum Viable Product", meaning we decided to publish the game when we had the minimum of what we thought was needed to make it fun and worth purchasing.

The 4 different "days" are four different environments/scenery, which each have 3 "waves" of 4-6 bucks and boars. Once you get too close to an animal, or shoot at it, it starts to run. You have to shoot it before it gets away, and if you miss more than 5 animals you have to start over.

A 2 man hunt would be awesome. Definitely something we'd like to do in the future.

Ok thanks again. I am sorry to keep asking questions but I am really trying to make sense of the game play experience. So I understand correctly: this is not really a game hunting experience? Just a game killing experience? You present us with animales (aka enemies) and we must shoot them before they run away or before we scare them away? It seems like then a slower paced "wave shooter" that you have a little more control over. I was hoping for an actual hunting experience like theHunter:Primal or the:Hunter (not as slow or as complex as the:Hunter of course). Kind of like where you go out and search for game and then either earn ammo or find it at caches as you explore. Making a game like theHunter:Primal would be a certain hit but that would be more ambitious. I am not saying I will not enjoy your game but having a demo or beta to try would be much better for me to take a plunge. Reviews may not convince me to buy this without trying it first. Anyway, thanks again. Peace and good will toward all men. :ROTTR_hunter:

Yea, it's more of a wave shooter right now but it's unique in the sense that you can teleport around the entire scene.

Having a more free form hunting experience mode is an interesting idea, not something we had really thought of but I like the concept. We were planning on doing an "endless wave" game mode next, and maybe after that we could do a free form style mode.

We also want to add bow & arrow shooting, which I'm excited about.

Check out my video on my review. There were some graphical issues with it I didn't like. I hope you can port this to a better engine or get better graphics soon. Something like this needs a realistic environment. Take care.

As a "Hunting game" players should be penalized for shooting the animals wrongly, or not having a good slugstopper behind the target, or not beeing able to sneak quietly or sit really still.

We have enough wave shooters. Make a good hunting game that follows the hunting rules and laws and you will sell!
