Leeko Romance issue

So I'm Titan Mila, Darious is a chick (not dara) and im trying to romance Leeko. The problem is that Leeko says "I know you've already got somethign going with Darious. I... wouldn't want to come between you and the captain" The issue is that i said no to the other romance option. I dont have anything going with anyone but leeko acts like i did.

If I am guessing, you have a save game that started with day 1 of launch or earlier, right?

There was a glitch that was in day 1 of launch, I have since fixed it. Stats weren't resetting properly. I believe that this will not be an issue if you start a new game. So sorry about that! let me know how it turns out.

Wait, how did you get the Darius and not Dara? It ONLY gives me the option to do Dara, which is what I DON'T want.

Im having this same issue but restarting a new game from scratch doesnt fix it.

Are you Titan Mila or Demon Mila? when I made Darious a chick as Demon Mila he forget everything after a second exposure and became Dara. When I was Titan Milla that didn't happen, he was still a chick but stayed 'Darious' I think its due to demon mila and him/her chatting about trauma and such (that they want to forget) and Titan Mila is more about Fighting through regardless.

Specifically get morgana killed in the beginning then when Darious gets possessed make him walk the plank, then at the love shop say 'darious is right'

I actually think i figured out whats the root of the issue. Whenever i wasnt able to romance Leeko(s) it seems to be cause of the chat option in the cave where you can choose "Use Leeko as Bait"

It seems in any playthrough where ive chosen that just as a gag it for whatever reason flags their romance options as impossible--whether thats actually intentional or not?

Haha okay. Yes anytime you do that, you can never romance leeko. That was intentional. Why would Leeko ever love you if you wanted to sacrifice him to the monster?

PS Morgana, Darious, and Tam-Tam also have a "check" like that for one specific moment. If you do something that really offends them, you can never romance them either.
