Why? It's a very old brand, created around 1932.

No, he means admiral Yamamoto Isoroku who was shot down earlier on April 18, 1943. He probably wouldn't make the same mistakes, being more insightful and decisive commander.

Yep it right information. But, all Zippo lighters which produced special for US army only, were painted to black color. Like a just black paint on metal. So, which type of paint we can see on this picture? It not just black paint, it black paint with rough structure.

Ooh, interesting, i don't know such details and hard to find that info :)
I guess WW2-era Zippos are rare too :D
