Make sure you use the official modstation linked above. Using third party mods that arent approved by WG could cause you problems. Everything on the modstation is fine.

Use Modstation or Aslain's mod pack. Both only contain mods that are officially declared legal.

Word of warning though: They are not the publishers of the mods and, particularily after an update, mods may malfunction or even cause the game to break until they are updated as well.

I used Modstation and liked them very much, but remember to turn them off before the upgrade eg 14.3 It takes the team that does the upgrade for Modstation a couple days to a week to do it. I have had problems like spawning into a battle underwater or your only control that works is W or S and you can watch your ship sail away. It was BAD and weird so I uninstalled and don't use it.

Just a pain had all sorts of problem In port used It for two years and several other issues. To be honest nothing but what you have in the game Is better except the smoke timer when used now It means nothing . Its really not going to make you better player. It seems all new players try it to get a edge.

Listen to Chritof and Banzai. Every time WG had a update on Steam you take a chance to get a hiccup, Modstation starts to have problems. Best thing for new players, just practice Is all you need, and let It become almost second nature playing. To may things require for you to look around on the screen when really you don't need to. There a a few things at actually make my game play worse. Good luck Captain IVANO

Target ship angle is really helpful, but not using any mods recently cause issues as mentioned above.

Also, (just to add) because the game gets all the time updated and such, the modding players have tent to "break" the game.
