Is the HMS Nelson worth buying?
I'm mostly just wondering if it prints out an insane amount of credits per battle like the Missouri does, since I can't buy the Missouri, and I keep dying with the Iowa because I can't play it to save my life. I have no credits, and I'm wondering if a premium ship will make up for the amount of credits I'm loosing with the Iowa.

You want credits, play the weekly operations!

I don't really understand how to do the weekly operations, but yes, the ship is 375,000 free exp.
Weekly operations are easier than random... win rate 80 to 90 percent! .... its like Co-op but with much better rewards.... how do you think i got my 500k free experience? Certainly not by looosing 50% of the time on Random pffftttt!!!

Edit: i was thinking of buying the Nelson for some time now..... only thing is, i NEVER see anyone using it in game these days.... too me, that is a huge RED FLAG.

Nelson performs quite well on average. She has something like a 53-54% win rate, which is pretty high, though not quite so high that they'll remove her from sale (probably anyway, the threshold for that seems to be around 55 or 56% for non-steel ships).

She has the Royal Navy zombie heal that allows her to heal 40% of her HP with repair party, and her guns are decent enough.

That said, I've having a hard time adjusting to her. She's got a raised citadel, relatively soft armor, and she's pretty sluggish. Furthermore, her turrets are configured in such a way that she cannot fire the third turret without angling to unblock it. Technically the turret thing isn't a big deal when compared to most other BBs, but I've been spoiled by Dunkerque and Jean Bart being able to fire all their cannons regardless of angle (in the front, anyway).

More to the point though: Yes, Nelson counts as a premium and will get the premium ship credit modifier. She' no Missouri (which, as far as I know, has the largest back-end credit modifier in the game), but she'll be a consistent earner, as all premiums are.

Also, coal ships below T10 also get the premium ship credit modifier, so you may want to look at those as well. The higher the tier, generally the better, assuming you can perform well.

Thanks for that! I probably wont get it then, mainly because i already got enough ships that i like in that tier and this one sounds like it has nothing particularly special about it for me to bother getting it.
Just earn her via Free XP. No need to shell out cash!

I would need a LOT of time to get it for free.

Not really, just load up free xp signals on operations and you'll have that free xp a lot quicker to buy it. Personally I like the Nelson.

You need a LOT of time to do anything in this game.... gaining exp, building captain skills, there is no point to even bother to think about it because its so f---ing rediculously slow. Just ignore it and enjoy the game, one day, hopefully before you drop dead from old age, something interesting might happen, a new point of captain skills showing up!!

I just play the game regularly every day, get my 2 containers, then exit, eventually things do happen, just DO NOT HOLD YOUR BREATH waiting for it!
You'd be better off getting a Tier 8 or tier 9 if you have the cash.
The Jean Bart is a very good ship and makes good credits. Same goes for the Georgia. Both are excellent ships.

If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, take a look at the Alabama or the Lenin.
Alabama is more of a mid to long range engager and has good torpedo protection. The Lenin is very tanky and has forward facing guns and needs to be played close to mid ranges. So go for whichever playstyle you prefer.

They all are excellent ships and you can't go wrong with either.

Just ask if you want more info on any of the ships or anything else.

The Massachusetts really fits my playstyle, so should I get that?

It's fun if you like secondary built ships, this is where it shines at. However the main guns are terribly inaccurate at pretty much all ranges. They annoy me regularly.

The Alabama has way better guns but not the secondaries the Massa has.
The Alabama is a better allrounder but both are fun.
I like shotgun builds, and my time with the Massachusetts has shown me that she's pretty good with that.
Tier 6

My favourite tier6 BB is the Izmail, but that is for operations, in Random it might not be so good since it is a bit of a citadel magnet.... if you get broardsided by another BB from any range, that's instant death, pretty much guarranteed!

Two days ago i got the New Mexico.... holy crap that thing packs a punch! But, ITS JUST TOO SLOW!

The Izmail is the ship for long range devastation, but for a BB that can push and brawl, i have not found anything better than the good old Bayern.

Suggest go for a prem in a nation that you are grinding for easier retraining. Nelson is a fun boat (although it sits alarmingly high in the water), and sort of fits the shotgun thing with some wiggling to use all the turrets.
