Giulio Cesare or Dunkerque?
I'm not quite sure which to get. I've heard the Dunkerque is bad, but I've also heard it's good if you use it in its niche. Though I've heard the Giulio Cesare was borderline OP at one point. If I could get an answer, that'd be great.

The Giulio is by far the most powerful tier 5 BB as it deals much better with being lowtier and that's the big issue with all tier 5 and 6 premium ships. So if you don't mind being lowtier in the first place you will probably enjoy it more than the Dunkerque.

The only real downside of the Giulio is that you can't use it as a captain trainer until there's an italian BB techtree.

The Dunkerque is a nice T6 battleship that can do well in Operations.
If you aren't looking for a ship for Operations, then the T5 Giulio is a better choice.

I have the cesare also
It was my first premium when I started this game and she still is so much fun to play.
You won’t regret buying her , really

GC is a fantastic ship and I highly recommend it. She does quite well even when uptiered. Here's a screenie of one of my better GC games, though tbh it's not hard to average 80k + damage in her if you know how to aim and position. https://imgur.com/d5focOj

Funny but why you make the name of the ship censored black ?
Doesn’t make it easier to believe that the 150K + damage is from the Cesare.
It’s nice if it is but can’t think of a single reason to censor a ships name ....

Apparently I made the box too wide, you'll notice though it was on solomon islands which is a map no ships above t5 can see afaik. I've corrected the picture link with the name of the ship included.

Dunkerque, unless you want to play a typical BB, then go Giulio.

Why Dunkerque ?

1: because its speed and rudder shift rate is beyond amazing for a BB, actually giving you the option to get away (hail french tactics) and dodge torps reliably.

2: bow tanking is fun, its very tricky to do right but angled and positioned well you can soak up most shells shot at you and shrugging off lots of damage as mere scratches. if you ever find yourself in a situation where you have a 1v1 with another BB or a CA theres a good chance you'll win provided you are patient and steer well.

3: gun accuracy, the guns on the dunkerque are arguably one of the most accurate ive played with on BB's so far.

4: gun rotation speed, fastest of all BB's at its tier.

So are there any downsides to the Dunkerque ? oh yea definitly.

1: Probably first thing that gets spotted on the map, stay back untill later in the fight because you WILL get primaried.

2: pretty weak armor at the sides, try not to expose it, or very bad things will happen

Having sunk many Frenchy BBs go for the GC.

Tier 5 Giulio Cesare, is a good ship and can stand it's ground against tier VII once, you get the hang of it. My only issue with it is, when going up against another one like it. :D:
