How to play USN Buffalo?
I know Cruisers r suppose to be the dps ships but i just finished grinding with my Tier 7 Baltimore and

Just got the Tier 8 Buffalo ship. However, the reload time and turrent turverse is reduced??

So im curious how the playstyle could b different than Baltimore?

Is it to hide behind islands and don't get shot type of deal? or what?

Thanks!

I think you'll find the shells do more damage now hence the difference in reload and traverse. Yes, the USN cruisers are basically island huggers as they don't have the armor, speed or arcs to play as open water HE spammers. (It can be done, but pretty much all the other nations are much better at it.)

The high arcs allow you to sit behind an island and fire over it in places other cruisers can't.

That's more accurate about the USN light cruiser line than the heavy one. Those are (slightly) less about HE spam and more about their AP sledgehammer shells.
Sure, you should still use HE against DDs, BBs at long range or very angled cruisers. But Otherwise, their AP can wreak havoc on other cruisers. In a Buffalo, you should be able to semi-reliably citadel Moskvas and Hindenburgs at 15 km.

But still accurate. I wouldn't play either line as an open water spammer, whether HE or AP. But then I do suck at cruisering, so what do I know

It is actually quite tanky. If you are fighting at long range you dont need mountains to hide behind as long as you are dodging the aggro. Possible to get 2-3mil potential in it in my experience.
