One of the draft designs for a battlecruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy that subsequently materialized as the Kongo class. The ship had a high speed and an impressive artillery. The arrangement of main turrets allowed her to fire a full broadside with all main battery guns. The known drawback of the ship's design was a very weak horizontal armor.

• Priority Target or Preventative Maintenance — depending on your style and preference.
• Expert Marksman — you want to deal damage while dodging and adapt to situation.
• Superintendent — live long and prosper! For T4 you can't rely on AA or secondary guns anyway.

Recommended upgrades

• Auxiliary Armaments Modification 1 — incapacitation of guns is quite rare at that tier, and you have 5 turrets anyway. But you can't repair secondary guns and if you meet a destroyer — you want him to be met warmly.
• Damage Control System Modification 1 — don't wanna burn, don't wanna flood.

How to sealclub use it effectively

Like a faster and lighter Myogi with more barrels. Most firepower is concentrated in the back as well, so if the flank is overwhelmed - deal damage while retreating instead. Overall it's more comfortable and balanced than Myogi, but lacks Spotter plane.

Interesting facts

1. She's a battlecruiser, not a battleship, one of few in the game, and remains true to that due to lack of upgrades.
   
2. No ship in the Imperial Japanese Navy was ever named Ishizuchi (石鎚, named after Mount Ishizuchi). The name "Ishizuchi" was given to the design by Wargaming in accordance with the Imperial Japanese tradition to name battlecruisers after mountains.
   
3. In World of Warships Blitz (mobile) Ischizuchi is not a premium but a researchable T4 IJN BB in place of Myogi. Myogi does not exist at all there.

You must be looking at wrong account, i have
78 battles with it, 58.97%, 1 621 personal rating, 40 785 average damage and 1.45 avg frags.

Against cruisers AP is good enough, for most other targets HE is feasible, but cruisers are the main targets. After dealing with them allied destroyers can help with battleships while i tank shots from them bow-first and start some fires with HE.

Also you need to cut it out with personal attacks, especially at moderators, keep the discussions civil.

Don't get me wrong though, there are times to use AP against broadside cruisers when they are close, however the drag on her shells cause them to lose more penetrating power than the other T4 bbs when firing at longer ranges. Her HE and fire dpm though is 2nd only to orion iirc.

Let's compare Ischizuchi and Wyoming

Same caliber, the same AP fuse and almost the same gun range

• anti-torpedo protection
  
• rudder

• weaker AP with less damage and less penetration(but that's still enough for any T3-5 cruiser)

Looks like great and agile cruiser hunter(with AP) and even DD(with HE). Just don't deal with battleships alone and better burn them. And pay attention to incoming planes.
Since hunting cruisers is the main generic battleship role - it should really be able to push the victory to his team side. Unlike, for example, Kawachi, can't effectively hunt cruisers with that range and guns. On tier 4 Ischizuchi is a very comfortable ship for me.

Seems developer pay attention to "British blood" in the game, even for such old premiums which was released long before British BB line.

What's funnier - my post had link to my main account stats, ~3500 battles, most of them solo. Reading and clicking comprehension, amirite? Nah, instead it's better to stalk and b@#$h at people with no reason.
Yet at the same time he mostly gives correct answers and sane advices in other threads, though sometimes again with that "i'm expert you're all stupid" attitude.

Welp. Like many others, I usually stick to one shell. One of the keys to success in Ishizuchi is switching between the shells, so I bettee work on that.

Also, since it's a premium ship, it gave good FXP.
