Essex Rockets
I just noticed while trying to get fire ribbons on tier X carrier Essex that her big and small rockets no longer have a fire starting chance while other carriers like enterprise, Yorktown, and most attacker planes have still the chance to cause fire. I don't recall seeing if the new updates if has been removed or not. can some one explain why big rocket no cause fire no more

Essex's tactical rockets still have the same 33% base fire chance they always did according to shiptool.st

There's no "small rockets" as far as I can tell? Both of her tactical attack squadrons use Tiny Tims? Have you accidentally queued with a different carrier that has "small" AP rockets (which won't light fires)?

Are you just firing the rockets at stuff that a teammate's already lit on fire; or that has DCP active already (clearing a sub's pings, for example)?

It's certainly possible you're just getting unlucky with RNG if you're firing at high tier targets whose base fire resistance will cut down the base 33% chance significantly.

If not, consider uploading a replay file of you striking stuff in Ops / Asym so we can see for ourselves how many rocket hits you're getting against vulnerable targets and thus how few fires you're getting.

I'm pretty sure you should be getting multiple fires per match if you're getting good hits against valid targets, though.

As Ace42 mentioned, Essex only has one sort of rockets. They have a 33% fire chance.
Mind that fire chance gets reduced by the enemy ship tier, plus any captain skills, ship upgrades and flags they may be using.
