Can't log in
Once again, the game is stuck on the logging in screen. It was working fine earlier. This time even the support page log in doesn't work. Are we even going to get compensated for premium time lost?

Hanging on logging in screen
Last 2 days I can't play... it loads to the logging in screen and does nothing further. Tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, verifying local files with steam... i'm stuck. This a patch issue?

If the problem doesn't clear up on it's own shortly I can only advise two things.. Either contact support, or stop using Steam to launch the game. It causes these problems occasionally. You can use your same account with Wargaming's launcher. Same game, just works better.

Cannot load game
Having downloaded the latest update of 24gb i now cannot load game as its stuck on the logging in screen,help.

If it's a widespread problem, even if it lasts a few hours, there is usually some kind of compensation.

I have the same problem. Validated files and they are fine; no issues found, but am unable to logon using the Steam client.

Seems to me working fine for most. I would contact support. There's instructions stickied at the top of the forum.

What support page? Do you mean https://wargaming.net/support/products/wows/help/ ? It should work, unless it's your ISP.

Can other in this thread reach out to Support Portal? If yes — please create a ticket with WGCheck report attached!
And please check files integrity those who haven't yet.

I can access that support page using the link provided. I submitted a ticket, with the WoWS_report.wgc report file attached. I am unable to locate the DXDiag.log file location and attach it to the support ticket. As stated above, I verified the games and they were fine.

Yes, that one. It takes ages to load and keeps asking me to log in, even though I am already logged in. I can log in and out but not do anything else. Sometimes it remains stuck at loading, sometimes it is refreshing and redirecting to itself forever. It is of course not my ISP, since the entire rest of the internet and online games work fine.

Can other in this thread reach out to Support Portal? If yes — please create a ticket with WGCheck report attached!
And please check files integrity those who haven't yet.

Integrity check doesn't do anything for the game, files were fine.

The problem still exists - all of the problems.

I downloaded the Wargaming launcher. It cannot locate the installed game even if I point it directly at it.

I forgot to mention that I can log in normally in wargaming.net even though it takes longer than it should (around 30 seconds of waiting). It is the support portal that has the issues I mentioned.


The game was working fine earlier yesterday. It had the log in problem once before that but it went away soon.

Have you linked email address to your account? You can check and do that here: https://wargaming.net/personal

Sorry, but different platform versions have some differences. You might be able to reuse files somehow, but it's not recommended and i don't know how.

As already said, it is not a network issue. It is an issue with Wargaming's log in. The problem only appears during trying to log in to the game (any version, and they do use different configurations) or the support page (even if you are logged in to the Wargaming site already) And because of that issue, support isn't accessible at all.

For reference and in case it helps anyone else, I did a full install using the Wargaming launcher and there is still a huge delay at log in but at least it logs in after a while (like a minute or two). So up to now the launcher works like the Steam version used to work on a bad day (before it stopped working at all). As far as I am aware there is no way to know if it will stop working completely or not, so this is a very real possibility. Try it at your own risk.

Actually lowered my login time after update made it sky rocket by clearing my steam download cache and flushing my DNS via cmd.exe using "ipconfig /flushdns". Some kind of routing hang I suspect.

Though I was able to login before, it just took forever.

This is the response I received from WG Support:

Hello IDMooseMan‍,
Thank you for contacting Wargaming Player Support.

Please remove your game preferences file and reset your World Of Warships settings back to default.
- To perform this, please perform the following:
- Navigate to the game folder (F:\Steam\steamapps\common\World of Warships)
- Delete the file named 'preferences'.
Run the game client and check if the problem persists.

My process after following the above instructions: I Alt+Tab out of the "Logging in" sequence screen, then Alt+Tab back into the "Logging in" screen. The spinning wheel spins normally before I Alt+Tab out. When I Alt+Tab back to the "Logging in" screen, the spinning wheel spins EXTREMELY fast, before I end up in my port screen. Inconvenience; yes, but I can, and did, login today. I consider that a success, at this point.
