Can't connect from title screen

I launched the game, selected the Europe Server, and whenever I clock the "Connect" button, I get the swirly synch. But then it just goes straight back to "Connect" button without actually doing anything. I've looked through the discussions and saw people have had the same issue, but the "fixes" proposed in them have yet to work for me.

First Launch from steam client. The only option that appeared was for selecting a server.

I'm asking because you cannot use any accounts made elsewhere with the Steam launcher. Only accounts made on this launcher do work with it.

On the other hand, it is perfectly possible to use a Steam-made account with the WG launcher as long as you've linked it with a WG account (which it asks you to do anyway and actually gives a reward for).

Understandable, but like I said, the only option that has appeared was server selection, I have not been asked anything about account creation, and cannot get past the "Connect" stage.

Okay, so not a problem there.

Do you have any problems connecting to the WoWs website, website Armoury and all that? That would point towards a general problem of yours with connecting to the servers.

Also in case you haven't done so yet, run a verification of your game files. Never hurts to try that.

No problems connecting to the website, I ran a verification and no problems, relaunched game, still same issue.

I'll also note that I can sign into my steam profile on the WoW site.

Not a general connection problem then. I've seen these before where it was the Steam launcher making problems temporarily. In such cases it was possible to just use the WG launcher instead. Of course that only works if you already have an account made on the Steam launcher and have linked it to a WG account.
Apart from that, I'm afraid I can only advise you to contact support with your problem. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I've had steam connected to wargaming since 2019 and I've just installed the game for the first time in ages and the connect button just wont go away

FYI: It's an internal problem in game..... I was informed by steam... They can't fix it the devs. need to fix it from their end.... Many other users are having the same problem and it seems to be coming from the steam app where that app has been removed and it doesn't recognize the user, also you can't unlink the app because it has disappeared to unlink/link it.... It happened too me also. "DO NOT" setup a new account when asked in game or you could lose your original account, just log out and try again later... Let the devs. handle it.. "Problem solved"

If nothing else works, you will be able to play your account with the WG launcher then. That is something of a work-around until this (hopefully) gets fixed. You can't use the Steam wallet from the ingame Armoury while you do. But otherwise it should work fully and fine.

I have a WG profile in which I have some hours put into it, I wanted to move to the steam client so all my games are in the same place, and I don't have to have 10 different client launchers open for different games. I didn't mind restarting with a new account, but I'd also rather not have my old one erased.

I didn't mind restarting with a new account, but I'd also rather not have my old one erased.

In that case you can just add the WG launcher as a non-Steam game to your library here. You won't be able to use the Steam wallet or shop and will not Steam achievements, but it will let you have the game in the same place. And the WG launcher does not take any more space on your hard disc than the Steam launcher. So for you that seems like the best choice.

Just add it as a non-Steam game. That's what I do. The WG launcher is way better than Steam. A lot less problems such as you're seeing now.
