Cannot link email to Wargaming account
The player Support system is broken. You can't open a support ticket without a valid email account, but I can't link my email and thus can't open a ticket.........

I only use Steam to play the game. I went to login to my account, so I clicked 'Steam' on the login page and it takes me to this website:

https://na.wargaming.net/personal/

It immediately prompts to 'Update Account' and asks me to enter an email and password. When I do, it tells me that the email account was already used.

So, I went back to login, thinking I may have accidentally used this email already outside of Steam, and click 'Recover Account' because I have no idea what the password could be. It asks me to enter my email but it tells me 'Player with this email address not found'

I'd open a ticket but, Catch-22

Hmm, that's very weird and conflicting :ooh:
Maybe you have another email-address you can use?

There's also a form you can use without logging-in, try it: https://na.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/help/17293/17302/17319/ (log out before if needed)

Thank you, although no luck so far. That form you linked is the one I tried and it does require a valid account email to create a support ticket.

The email I tried to enter is the one I use for my games. I'd prefer to not have to create another one. If you can help me find a way to open a ticket without needing an account email I can attach screenshots of the problem

You mean it doesn't allow you to create the ticket if you put that email into "Account email address" field claiming that there's no player with that email-address?

Also check that you perform all those actions on the appropriate region website, i.e. the url always starts with "https://na.wargaming.net", not wandering into eu/ru/asia.

Are you sure your account is on NA realm? What's your game nickname?

Correct, I cannot create a ticket without a valid email. I cannot leave it blank or enter an alternate.

I just tried clicking the "Complete the Registration" button ingame and I got the same result saying that the email account was already in use.

As far as I kjnow I am in the NA server, nickname is Quetzalcoaxial

So it seems you tried to recover account on another region's website, that's why it wasn't found. Link to reset password to that old account should be sent to your email. After that make a Support ticket to get rid of that account and vacate email-address.

As it turns out, I did have a previous account using that email hat I just forgot about. I am pretty sure I tried it on the NA region but I don't know what went wrong. Support was able to initiate a password reset on their end that I confirmed and regained access the forgotten account.

Thank you Ryuu for getting me help. I now actually have the option to just delete the old account to free up that email address to be re-used. Will have to make sure I don't have anything on there I don't care about losing.

Well, it was me who put that email and initiated reset :) Just wanted to check.

Yeap, PM me if you'll need some clarifications.

You can register some other email to that old account just in case. But for that you either need to link phone number and wait 30 days first or ask Support to do it quicker.

iv had this EXACT same problem for a friggen year now. cant post on forums cause i need to play 10 battles first, cant get any free linked gifts, still have that stupid "link accounts" notification red thingy in port. total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

i keep sending tickets asking them to delete all/any accounts linked to all the email addresses they have on file, i get the "you can do it yourself" crap, but when i get to the part where they ask for the isp i used, they say its not right, event tho iv only ever had 1 isp for the last 20 years. so unless warships came out 21 years ago, theres nothing i can do. id convert to whatever religion the tech is if they would just do what i want and delete any account that isnt steam, its simple to see which one has the least hours in game

I think I had tried World of Tanks like years ago, which caused the issue for me. I'd say try to do a password reset with other recent email accounts you've used to find out which one is the one associated with the other account you no longer use.

Once you have access to that other account, you can initiate an account delete request from within that account to free up your email account, you shouldn't need to enter the ISP and all that. I'm debating whether to delete the old account or to just register a new email. Sadly, just using a new email is the quickest and easiest solution. I'd consider it.

In my case, I do still have the red notification you have on port, but it does not stop me from playing. You should be able to get those 10 battles in. I mean, I made to level 14 with an "unregistered" account before I even noticed it :)

From that screenshot it seems you're logging with a wrong account that indeed does not have 10 battles. What nickname do you see in the corner of website and what's your ingame nickname and gaming region? You can add and PM me if you wish.

But why do you need that form? Why not just send reset password link to the email you want to use using this form? https://wargaming.net/personal/password_reset/new/

So for a start try to describe your problem with all relevant details, then it would be easy to notice what goes wrong.
