Why does this game keep doing 20GB updates ?
Don't mind the odd large update but this game keeps updating with 20GB downloads, I'm going to have to remove it...

If you get 20 Gb updates — means your files somehow got corrupted and had to be redownloaded. Updates are actually about 4 Gbs and less.

But you're free to switch to native version with optimized updater using the same account as well.

20 GB? Wow! I'm only getting 2-3 GB

Also it IS Steam. If you get WoWS thru the Wargaming launcher instead of Steam they'll be much smaller. The last update was ~200 MB.

The devs make the update, by Steam controls how it's applied through their platform. Steam is notorious for having an overcomplicated updating system. A lot of files are backed up or redownloaded during the process. It's not an issue if you have extra space and a good connection, but it's very problematic otherwise.
