I'd like to confirm if possible, that you MUST have made a new account thru Steam in order to get them.
I've since beta... No way would I start over, but I like steam achievements. I followed the video from iChase on how to log into your account through Steam. I guess it must somehow take out the achievements. OR it gets a signal from WoWS when you earn the achievement in game. Since I've earned most of them there, I am not getting them on Steam. Something like that.
For instance, I certainly made 100k in multiple battles today, yet the achievement didn't pop. Could this be because I already got the achievement in WoWS for that?
I myself would like to transfer my progress, but there's no way for that, alas
Tried getting Solo Warrior?
Yea, 1000 containers is a lot. I think I'm ~600 now.
You must have created your account thru Steam for them to work. They won't work at all for older accounts made before hand.
War gaming is such a cash machine. Not making possible to use an older account is dumb af and kind of pisses me off. (i did the thing to be able to log into it but like you, i don't get the achievements)
Well, yes and no. Yes they are money grabbing buggers but this is not the reason for the achievements issue. For other games to do this you need or had to merge the players databases so that Steam could read and understand you have certain ahcievements already. The problem is Steam is very flexible in its use of "Usernames" and WG accounts just, aren't. So if theres a clash of usernames who gets what and how does it work. Merging databases is a nightmare at the best of times. They've taken the decision to not merge and have a whole new database which is the simplest. They probably figured those already playing WoWs won't want to use it through Steam. However, they seem to have forgotten those that might have uninstalled and be lured back through Steam or those who have moved the game to a new HDD etc and took the chance to load it up through Steam. I am the latter and although I can't get some of the steam achievements now I probably won't let it bother me that much. Lifes too short in the end.
