It is like the say about CV that they ruin their game, you ruin their game by fire on them, you enter the game on the same terms, players need to stop making this type of treads
I feel ya and agree to some extent. But subs are overperforming right now. The average player who starts playing subs will see their win rate boost to 60% while non sub they had 50%. Several very good and logical players have compiled this data so I feel safe in using it.
You, as a sub player, will always get hate. You are playing a different game with different rules than that of surface ships. That will lead to hard feelings more often than not. To make matters worse for balance is that a bad sub player will be a big detriment to the team and a good sub player will shut down an entire flank. Ive been on the bad end of this more often than not it seems.
3 subs in a match seems excessive and WG should probably limit it to two for randoms imho. I will never say that subs need to be removed, only more counter play needs to be added. Ping deletion should not be tied to DC. A player shouldnt have to be at the mercy of another player simply due to a cooldown. Give it different button and it would go a long way for me.
Probably wont happen. So we just have to deal with how it is now.
When they first came out (In public testing with special game mode) They were super easy to kill and flop over.
Then was the age of shotgunning and you could pop up right next to a BB unload all your torps into their side, remove half their hp and sink below the water in the span of a few seconds.
They still have problems with their counter game play
Airborne depth charges are prone to dispersion and landing no where near the sub.
There are a lot of bad players who play subs and just spam pings for no reason.
They're very hard to balance between making them too easy to splat and giving them too much control and special treatment.
nope
They are also annoying to play against, since the interaction you usually have between ships just doesn't really work with submarines. The wider spread of submarine surveillance has only slightly alleviated that.
Finally I tend to simply find them somewhat boring, to be honest. Both playing against and playing with them. If I do find myself having any fun with a submarine in a battle, it's usually when I get to play them like a torp DD. And I can just take a torp DD for that.
Yup.
Yup.
WG is ruining their own game, and every day less players because of it.
New DD is not as bad as it "seems" ... Subs are dependant on player skill levels same as CV and some others....
Get a good player in a ship and they can change a game ...
Get a "Average" player in a Sub or CV they can WIN a game .... if the opponent is trash!
Average cv or submarine player spends the entire game focusing one ship. Sure that one player might have a miserable time and can only run away, but at least his team won the game right? Such fun classes, much skill.
