servers down?

After I have been in touch with support, which was pretty fast I must say.
We have found a known problem.
The WOW client don't like the fast speed/Throttling on my CPU.
Therefore it can be solved with a utility like Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.
They are still collecting data and trying to find a solution to the problem.
But for now, this is what I can do.

I have been monitoring when the computer throttles/put loads on CPU.
That happens insanely fast when something new needs to be loaded/handled.
And if that period is just a few miliseconds too much, some applications may crash.
THAT, would explain why it sometimes crashes when sellecting new ships in harbor, ESPECIALLY if the server is just a little more busy than usual, that gives the the CPU the task a little longer, and thats why it crashes.

We are talking about so little time, thats it almost impossible to registrate by yourself.

This has now been tested well enough to come with this conclusion.
If ANY ONE comes in here with same problem, please lead them to this soultion and help them, then my time spend with this, and yours time, is not a waste.

Many mordern games is build around this "issue", just like WOW is working on it.
Thats why I did not have problems with other games.

What made it worse?
I constantly updated everytime new BIOS came.
All windows updates.
I actually dont think I had problems with this cómputer and WOW, half a year ago.
They did something with the BIOS update that WOW did not like, hence it became worse.

Just logged into port again, EU still working fine for me.
I'm using WGC though, so people using the Steam client might run into additional problems.

The problem I encountered is that I need to be in a specific location before I can click on the option I want. Is there any solution?

I've neither experienced any problems, nor heard/read of any outside of this thread. And that does include the official German Discord, which definitely would have been choke-full with messages if this was a serverside problem. So cg and Fortuna, you may want to run a pingplotter, see if there's any trouble on the way?

I ran a ping test on Frankfurt:
Ping Test: DE - Frankfurt 16 ms 16 ms 14 ms 18 ms

Also France an UK, no problems.
Also no problems in BF2042.

Is it Steam?

2-3 days ago, played all evening with ZERO problems.

Make sure you have no mods installed. Make sure you've verified files.

Then contact support. They'll get the game's log and see what's going on.

Never used mods, always try the verify.
Like I said, IT RAN PERFECTLY 2 AND 3 DAYS AGO.

So, tried downloading with official launcher, not using steam.
Same problem.
Really looks like a server problem.

But hey, its friday now, that would explain why it always runs bad in weekends and some evenings if they have bad servers.

And there is no way I will allow them to install spyware on my computer and gather information as they please!

EVERY single other game I try runs flawlessly!
My premium stats are running out, perhaps I will try later in half a year or something.
I'M DONE WITH THIS!

Have you tried using the WG launcher instead for a bit? I have it installed parallel to Steam for when the latter has issues. And it's certainly more constructive a solution than rage-quitting.

And there still haven't been ANY comments about such problems except for two people in this thread. So we can exclude the servers as the cause. There would have been far more people affected if they were. The problem must lie either on your end or in between you and the servers.

To be honest, I'd say you are very ignorant.
Always expect there are more with problems, than you read in some threads, thats just logic.
And also try reading what i ACTUALLY write, like I tried with the official launcher already.
And ALSO, the game ran perfectly earlier this week.

Seriusly, some answers in here are the most ignorants I have read in a looooong time.

It's like an automatic bot:
Verify files.
Buy new ram.
Buy new power supply.
Check this, check that.
Your computer is just bad.

Are there ANY, that actually read what I write, and try to understand what I'm saying?
And no, I'm not rage quitting, if I was, it would have happened long time ago.
This is more like an frustrating experience that comes and goes depending on what day it is.

C'mon guys, I would appreciate good solutions, but not this common rabble.

Correction: It looks almost impossible that it's a server problem.
Because if there was a problem with the servers - everyone else on the forum, including me, wouldn't be able to connect to those problematic servers *without there being a problem*.

You're saying that there's a problem with the server that magically fixes itself for everyone except you and one random guy who is probably clueless.

Might as well say "there's clearly a problem with all cars because mine won't start" despite seeing people happily driving around in theirs.
Does one other guy having a problem starting his car mean there's an intrinsic design flaw with all cars? Or that the roads all cars have in common are actually impossible to drive on?

I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a further progression of the symptoms you had last time.
