We have found a known problem.
The WOW client don't like the fast speed/Throttling on my CPU.
Therefore it can be solved with a utility like Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.
They are still collecting data and trying to find a solution to the problem.
But for now, this is what I can do.

I have been monitoring when the computer throttles/put loads on CPU.
That happens insanely fast when something new needs to be loaded/handled.
And if that period is just a few miliseconds too much, some applications may crash.
THAT, would explain why it sometimes crashes when sellecting new ships in harbor, ESPECIALLY if the server is just a little more busy than usual, that gives the the CPU the task a little longer, and thats why it crashes.

We are talking about so little time, thats it almost impossible to registrate by yourself.

This has now been tested well enough to come with this conclusion.
If ANY ONE comes in here with same problem, please lead them to this soultion and help them, then my time spend with this, and yours time, is not a waste.

Many mordern games is build around this "issue", just like WOW is working on it.
Thats why I did not have problems with other games.

What made it worse?
I constantly updated everytime new BIOS came.
All windows updates.
I actually dont think I had problems with this cómputer and WOW, half a year ago.
They did something with the BIOS update that WOW did not like, hence it became worse.

Thanks all.

But saying things like, "Personally my biggest mistake was to even think it would be possible getting good advice without getting hit in the head," is, as well as, "Sorry Ace, didn't really mean to offend you like this," show you are more... bothered? than you should be. Otherwise those phrases make no sense. Ace wasn't offended. Calling me Sigmund Freud is childish, but not offensive, at least to me.

Sometimes it would be more easy if we could se beyond the words.
I know Ace is already standing with a fuel can.
And its true, I'm more bothered on this forum, than the game actually not working.
You may like that or not, but taking a look in the mirror might not hurt.
Ahhhh, that line was brilliant for breaking the ice that is currently gathering.
You guys need to stop acting like you get money from my premium account, and take it personal when problems arise.

Go play some warship or something, if it's working? :-)
As I said, almost exactly before...

We're not taking anything personal. The idea you think so is... just... laughable.

I don't think I've even seen Ace get particularly bothered by anyone. He takes more time than anyone to try to help people on this entire forum. You're trying to needle. Stop it.

Stop it?
I agree, but it seems the fuel keeps getting spilled from one side.

If this can help you guys, this is from wargaming:

So I did went for help, ok?

OK?

Hope this clears it out.

Excellent. That was clear a long time ago though. You just mentioned that they asked you to install some software you didn't want to install. That's what started the discussion that followed.

Hopefully you'll get it working it soon.

If the completely accurate, helpful and sensible advice people gave you wasnt effective then thats a shame and im sure we are all sorry we couldnt help you resolve this, although at least you have now ticked off a lot of possible issues before support asked you to do these things.

Hopefully support will be able to fix the problem if you let them. They tend to be pretty good as a rule.

Im sure everyone was grateful for your kind donation of Steam points anyway.

And there still haven't been ANY comments about such problems except for two people in this thread. So we can exclude the servers as the cause. There would have been far more people affected if they were. The problem must lie either on your end or in between you and the servers.

To be honest, I'd say you are very ignorant.
Always expect there are more with problems, than you read in some threads, thats just logic.
And also try reading what i ACTUALLY write, like I tried with the official launcher already.
And ALSO, the game ran perfectly earlier this week.
I WILL give you that I missed you saying that about trying the official launcher. That one is on me.

The rest you say I have to call bull on however.
"Always expect there are more with problems"? Yeah, that's why I went ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR THEM. It's one thing to assume there are more than you can see on first glance. But if you search and search and you find NO ONE with the same issue. And that in a community like WoWs whose members, let's be honest with ourselves, are definitely on the whiny side. Where even just the servers going down for scheduled downtime that has been announced long in advance will immediately spawn dozens of messages of "I CAN'T LOG IN!!!11"
That makes it very obvious that the problem being with the servers is pretty much not possible.

"The game has ran perfectly earlier this week"? So what? When the Steam launcher was having issues for me, it usually was somewhere in the midst of an update. Nothing had changed in the game itself from one day to another, yet suddenly the launcher didn't work right for me. Sometimes it was a corrupted file, in fact. Because that can happen even outside of downloading an update. Most often however I never found the problem. But except for one single case, where that also resolved itself after a second restart of the game within ten minutes, it always worked fine with the WG launcher.

What I never had myself, but others have shared their experience here in the forums, was an issue with the firewall or router. Sometimes it was resolved as easily as restarting the router.

And Frankfurt in particular has been known to be problematic node for internet connections occasionally. Numerous times did we have people from some parts of Germany complain about issues with the game and running some ping plotters showed Frankfurt to be the problem. Which could be resolved by using a VPN to circumvent it.

So bringing that up is not "ignorance" or "bot behaviour", neither is checking game files, mods, checking your router and firewall, etcetera. It's a simple FACT that over 95% of all reported problems along the lines of what you brought up here have been resolved with one of those.
THAT's why we always bring them up. Because they almost always are the solution. Even someone checking their RAM or hard disc and finding it was starting to fail and WoWs had reacted to it quicker than other games has been the issue more often than an actual server problem. And even more than that: It's a problem YOU can check and do something about yourself. You don't need to wait for support to hopefully find something.

Now it may be that none of that helps, of course. Even though it almost always does, there's still those cases where it won't. And it's fine to be annoyed about it when it doesn't. But calling people suggesting checking them all first before suggesting it's a server problem "ignorant" and even "toxic" is just... childish. Sorry.

To clarify:
Go in BIOS, change in Tweaker, Extreme to Performance.
That lowers the the allowed volts. (But this is not necesary)

Download the Utility, make sure your CPU does not ecxeed 5.5Ghz.
Perhaps go even lower, since this CPU is fast enough already.
I tried 5,3Ghz for now, which is working flawlessly.

This will all depend on what cpu and what cooling situation a person has, but thanks for letting us know the problem. I've marked it as solution for this thread.

Okay, that's one I actually hadn't heard before, I think.

Thanks for sharing, Fortuna. Have some points for that!
