$10 for a normal month, but $30 for christmas
this is just horsecrap and down right scum
Scam means you're being tricked into something.
Fact of the matter is you'd be at the end of the first pass and waiting for next month, you're pretty much getting double the goodies, if it's not worth to you, don't pay for the premium part.
Cheapest T7 in the armory is 6,800 doubs; ~5k with 25% discount coupon.
3,500 is less than 5k...
20x regular Santa Crates costs 4,500 doubs. There's 30 in the battlepass.
3,500 is less than 6,880...
The battle pass should be priced at well over 12,000 doubloons for the first stage alone, before you consider all the bonus stuff like steel, etc.
If you, personally, really hate great value for money - you can just not buy the battlepass.
If you feel like you tricked yourself into buying the battlepass because previous battlepasses were giving away premiums even cheaper, well congratulations you've just discovered why you shouldn't've had those bargains in previous battlepasses in the first place (humouring you that your sums are correct - which we have no reason to believe is the case) - they were way too generous.
Also have to say that "scam" implies you are being tricked into something. The reward track is completely transparent as are the duration and cost. By definition this is not a scam.
Also have to say that just because the two parts are shorter than a "normal" BP, the rewards arent so different (but gained in less time) and as others have mentioned above are still pretty decent if you actually want the stuff on offer. If you dont then just get the free stuff from the top reward track.
Only if you deliberately decide to not read a single one of the numerous messages and articles that WG has written about that.
So not getting this right is on YOU and YOU ALONE. No one else. YOU did a major stupid and now you're running to the forums here to whine-whine-whine instead of accepting responsibility for your own actions.
Challenges that are ridiculously easy, far below anything you had to do in past Christmas events. Even last year's which already was really easy to finish. It honestly takes a whole 2-3 Random or 3-4 Coop battles to do all daily missions for the eventpass. That's about half an hour of playing, no more.
NEVER MIND that the thing with not playing daily meaning you may lose out on all/the best rewards is NOTHING NEW AT ALL and has been a thing for every single pass since they were implemented in the game. And were even more of a thing back before the passes with the daily missions.
NEVER MIND that for this to be a "scam" would necessitate WG lying about the whole thing or withholding necessary information. Which they have done the EXACT OPPOSITE of. Or them blowing up the price massively and curbing the rewards. Which again they have NOT done. Both parts this year individually hold about the same rewards as last year's full pass did. And they are doing so at individually the same price.
The ONLY thing you got right in your whole several walls of text there is that it is a cash grab. Doing two passes in one update and thus selling two second reward lines obviously is. But it is a cash grab that, compared to their prior passes and just what you'd usually pay for the contents of these ones, gives very decent and fair payout for the customer.
Simply put you can read the news or the dev blog.
It very clearly showed it was ending (Which the first stage game out plenty of containers, resources and Steel,) It Clearly said it was ending on a certain day, there were about 3 days of just bonus rewards (Extra certificates)
Then the news explained there was a second set (Pretty obvious since the first one ended)
It told what the second set would be.
Also still a free ship in the dock yard.
Heck I already got one of the event steel ships and it looks like I'll get enough steel to get a second one from the dock yard
(Also one of the santa boxes that were free from certs, for the last few days on stage 1) gave off a steel ship too
Scamming implies they lied to you.
Sure maybe more heads up would have been nice but you also can't really say scam when it full stop says How long it will last, if there was - timers, I'd totally be on your side.
