This.
It's just a good balance of units; forgiving plane reserves; flexible; straightforward; good solid torp squadrons.

Saipan's got devastating torp alpha, but is far less forgiving of misplays because of the tiny plane reserves.

Hornet's a bit "meh": The AP bombers just feel a bit limp; the tactical bombers are a bit slow and cumbersome. Its torps are comfortable to use, but are otherwise unspectacular.
It's a bit better in Operations: The tactical squadron bombers can comfortably solo cherry-blossom final objectives and don't care about plane losses; and the comfortable torps are good for farming DDs.

Aquila is great for Dockyard missions (prints cit and rocket hit ribbons); and its ability to rocket-cit light cruisers and ruin their day is powerful; but the torps are super slow and uncomfortable to use, but very important. The skill requirements are particularly high to get value out of it.

Not sure about availability for others, but I'll give a run-down anyway:

Collosus's AP rockets were its unique selling point, and got nerfed. They can still wallop stuff, but it gives up a lot to do so; and German tech-tree rockets can do similar stuff without requiring a cash purchase. The rest of its squadrons are disappointing, and all of the Collosus lines have slow hulls that makes them especially vulnerable to mispositioning.

Indomitable is the only CV in the game to retain the "slingshot" mechanic, which is incredibly niche, and if you don't know how to do it, you won't get any value out of the ship.
The upcoming CV rework might end up making the gimmick redundant anyway (it did in previous tests), so even that unique selling point is not guaranteed.

Theseus uses the Last Gasp commander skill for you to boost all over the map insanely fast with squadron-shortening to spam out skip bombs on targets in quick succession, but that's its one-trick-pony gimmick and might get damaged in the CV rework. Also a Collosus hull, so slow.

Enterprise is great, and pretty much a straight upgrade over Shokaku, but is limited availbility so pretty hard to get. If you've played Shokaku you've got a great rough idea of what it involves.

Chkalov is mostly just tech-tree Pobeda but with HE bombers instead of rockets: USSR CVs main weakness is the massive lead times being jukable; having much harder to juke HE divebombers makes it a menace. But its similarity to Pobeda might make it seem a bit disappointing as a choice.

All of the Freemium (Coal, Steel, RB points) T10 specials are good in their own way (not tried Ocean yet, will be grabbing it when the Xmas event starts). Emmelman's probably the least interesting because it's just a spammy-farmer.

FDR has a unique squadron cooldown which slows the play down a lot in exchange for good alpha strikes from big squadron-flights.

Malta's got brutal AP carpet bombers that mug a lot of cruisers, and has been considered a bit OP in the past.
Shinano's got brutal AP skip bombers that are very punishing.

Well they're all gonna have different play styles. Graf is probably the worst though outside of a few fun things like secondary build in PvE modes.

Assuming PvP here, Aquila is probably the best. It's also absolutely fantastic at any CV rocket missions as it's planes shoot out around 60 at a time. They also cit cruisers really easily.

Hornet is good, historical and has the famous B-25 bombers on the deck that (I think) have a 3 min cool down, but do very good HE damage in a large swath.

Kaga is also a very fun CV. She's got weak planes but also good replenishment making it one of the easiest CV's to play.

Saipan is the weakest for most next to Graf Zep. She has a higher skill floor. She's got T10 planes so they're tough, but once you lose them they take a long time to come back. Her AA is also deplorable as she has no long range AA (and therefore no secondaries).

Edit: They all play quite differently. My favorites from best to last are:

Aquila > Hornet > Kaga > Graf Zep > Saipan

i see, so graf zeppelin is bad as i understand? why so?, kaga and hornet also are one of my options but i only have for 1 Cv XD, can you elaborate a little more please?
Graf is sort of dated, she doesn't get the same things that other German CVs get so her commander can't be transferred over as easy. I'm not sure how the secondary rework might have changed her either.
She's ok I'm sure if you know what you're doing.

Kaga's thing is that they have lower tier planes, just a heck of a lot of them so it's harder to be deplaned by losing them, that being said, if you're bottom tier you may have trouble dealing damage with slightly weaker planes, but Kaga tends to be solidly ok I think.

Graf's weakness is the planes. They're fragile and get shot down easily. It has AP bombs which can be difficult to get citadel hits with, and if you don't, they're low damage. Once you learn to get citadel hits reliably with them, you've mitigated some of it's weakness for sure. If I remember right it's torpedoes are also really slow... but don't quote me on that one. It's set up to be a secondary build CV which makes everything else weak, while that is exceptionally strong (for a carrier). It's probably the best CV at Coop. It's going to be good at any PvE mode, possibly better than any of the others, but for PvP it's just not great. Workable, yes. Great, not so much, that's all.

Hornet is pretty generic other than it's special B-25 strike. They're large 2 engine medium bombers. IRL it's famous for carrying the land based bombers on a one way trip to Tokyo.

Kaga is just a good all around carrier. Decent torpedoes. Decent bombs. Decent rockets. All are relatively straight forward and easy to use. Weaker planes but many ready on deck make it comfortable to play.

Corrected for Kaga: Not fast regen, just has many to start with.

i see, last question, if you were the one having to choose, would it be hornet or kaga?, also thank u so much for the info

I would go with Hornet I think, but I think Kaga might be easier to play. You can't go wrong with either to be honest :)

And you're welcome!
if you have to ask, then i think kaga is the answer cause of how fast the planes regen. you can mostly just spam torps on it cause they come back so fast

I corrected what I said above. The regen isn't good. It's the fact you have so many to start with. Just an fyi.

yeah you're right, despite the error, they feel like an endless supply on the kaga

Yes and no. Graf's dropped torps are slower than the German tech tree CV torps (which however are fast compared with other CVs). But same speed as other German premium CVs and the USN Midway tech tree line or Hornet (slightly slower than Essex line though).
Kaga by a distance. The rocket planes are a bit meh but usable, but the torp planes are excellent and the HE bombs can ruin anyones day (and give you an additional weapon against DDs that other IJN CVs dont have). Its also the most forgiving of misplays due to the huge amount of planes it carries.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

thank you everyone for the comments and info! i got kaga thanks to all of you and some videos i saw of it, i´ve been playing some matches and... its perfect, the rockets are garbage but the bombers and torps are excellent, its my first Cv that has given me bottom tier wins without any problem xD
I think Chikalov (spelling) is the bee's knee's myself. But Im a amature CV player so the one drop stop helps out greatly.

It's a very good one, but currently unavailable.
