New collab in the future?

So I missed our on the Azur Lane and korn events. Will they happen again in the future? I really wanted to grab them at some point, and honestly, it’s probably the most likely way I’d be able to get back into the game.

They probably will. Often they sneak up on us. Sometimes there's alert ahead, sometimes not, but anime collabs seem to bring enough players and money that they are often repeated.

it will likely happen next year AL when it colabs with WG also gets content both ways and makes a healthy bit of dough.

They still do some advertising with Hololive, even after that whole fiasco, so I doubt that's a major issue. Botan did a sponsored stream promoting the ARP collab some two months ago on the Asia server, and the whole Hololive CN drama started 4 months ago or so, so it's not as if they've cut advertising ties due to it.

A couple of members (both Japanese) showed their viewership statistics, which lists Taiwan as a country. A number of Chinese viewers took less than kindly to this and started a harassment campaign. Cover Corp suspended streaming for a month for the two streamers in question, sending different messages as to why based on region. Nobody was happy about this. Harassment continued after the suspensions were up.

The entire Hololive CN branch was eventually dissolved, which we can't say was specifically because of this, but the timing does make it seem like this was done because they deemed it not worth the effort to operate there due to this set of events.

I guess I don't get what the big deal is. I don't know this game, but can't you block harassment? Everyone knows Taiwan is a country. Are people still arguing about it online? idk... Seems strange. But smaller things have created drama.

the whole taiwan thing is................well its complicated I mean yes it is a country but like hong kong some people in china view them as china and should be addressed as such in their opinion (like how in north korea its just korea) and get very heated about it and violently so. the whole thing sprouts from the can of worms that was the civil war in the 1900s. But let me put it in one phrase when they get annoyed about the topic they are dedicated to a horrifiying degree.

If they weren't a timed event, they probably wouldn't make so much money. People tend to spend more when they know this might be the only chance to get it and it may never come back. Wargaming has done that enough times, people learned.

I'm sure it will happen before next year tho. They seem to do one every few months. It's been a while since AL had an event I think.
