The Izumo guns are great, have good dispersion, sigma and flight time for the long range stuff. Hard hitting too.

Kinda. Its a blend of North Carolina, Iowa, and Montana. The NC guns, with Montana arrangement, and some Iowa hull characteristics. The Tiny Tim rocket planes feel alot like Saipan's. It's a very blended ship.
Louisiana will be Montana with a flight deck though.
What is it with adding this hybrid US line? It feels like an area of the tech tree that isn't needed to me (at least not as a priority).
The Germans could do with a second cruiser line for instance (however ahistorical they may be).
In other words - add more "normal" ships instead of more stuff that makes it look like Dr Frankenstein had gone into shipbuilding.
