looking for a T10 version of the T9 destroyer Velos

I finally started messing around with the destroyers and picked up the Velos and Hayate for coal. I've dabbled with both and for some reason really like the way the Velos handles. I've currently got the ship set up for a quick reload on the torps as far as modules and captain skills (only a level 13 captain). Appreciate any input & thanks.

Being a premium she is quite unique, she is a Fletcher class with super fast torp reload and she is pretty quick....

top of my head I cannot think of anything at tier 10 which does the same!

Maybe a Shimakaze is the closest to her with smoke and torps but still it is nothing to similar!!

Velos is a Fletcher variant so your closest T10 equivalent would be the Gearing I guess. The Velos sacrifices quantity of torps for really fast reload so the Gearing isnt a direct equivalent.

Velos is a tweaked Fletcher, so you're in luck in that there's tons of Fletcher-clones and similar in the game.

Although Velos isn't usually built with a torpedo focus because of the single rack:

Somers isn't available ATM;
But Gearing can be built with a greater focus on torps (and LegMod can make it a straight torp-boat closer to Shimakaze) and will be otherwise similar in a lot of respects in terms of handling, detectability, etc; or you can build more into a mixed build to more closely match Velos.

Yueyang is a bit of a weird one - but has a LegMod for buffing guns; has strong torp focus (but deepwater); and the panasian smokes are pretty strong if you don't want to go radar build.

Halland can also be somewhat flexibly built if you want to lean into EU torps; or want to lean into more USN mixed-gun builds (or even hardcore gun build if you want to go LegMod) - but lacks smoke.

Get Gearing and only fire your torps 1 rack at a time and you've basically got a straight upgrade from Velos - bar detection range being slightly worse. And not the EU torp spread of course.
