Ok and do you like her? She is a very weird mix of Super nice "Homing" but slow pings along with Slow Damage output!! You do not see a lot of them in game on EU to be fair due to the shotgun nerf meaning her torps need 3km to "do max damage"

This said in the hands of a good player they are ok, just the pings give away your position way to much for my liking!

What else do you have your eyes on in other ships ?

i looked at the "Hybrid" battlecarrier thing i like aircraft carriers, i like battleships. i might save up for that with doubloons, or coal.

Steel is the Hardest thing to "earn" Coal is easy and you buy Dubs whenever you want! if you want a Sub the U-4501 for Coal is the go to nasty Sub! As for Ships - Bourgogne, Lauria or Z-42 are solid Picks for Randoms!

Again, it is really what classes you play and how you like to play??

Then Can you get malta ? really good CV! if not Chkalov for Tier 8 or Kaga!

Subs are limited to the 3 Premiums and well the S, the Alliance and I all play very different so I would suggest watching some Videos since the last rework on what may work for you!!

I've looked at it multiple times, and always turned it down. The torps are super-slow, slower than some DDs, and while they have half the homing shutoff range, they also have half the speed of US homing torps. The unguided torps make you get dangerously close, and remember subs can't shotgun for ♥♥♥♥ anymore due to the 3km minimum range. I say wait for Archerfish, it's gonna have better homing torps and probably a similar playstyle. Or if you want to focus on unguided torps in a fast sub, S-189 is probably the better choice.

I woudn't invest in anything carrier-related right now due to the upcoming rework that's likely going to suck, but just be aware the hybrids encourage a very passive, cautious, long-ranged playstyle because 1. you really don't want to expose your hangar, and 2. You shouldn't really be using your planes while getting shot at, thus defeating the purpose of having a massive farmable hangar and only using 2 of your turrets so you don't expose said hangar.

IIRC it's the slow speed that gives them the insane tight turning radius?

The whole point is that they're incredibly hard to dodge, and that when you do dodge you bleed so much speed that you eat the subsequent salvoes (or 180ing salvoes) that it constantly spams out, isn't it?

As someone who met an Alliance when it got released - it´s just nasty how difficult to evade those torps are.

Btw - I think you get a 25% coupon a few times a year for dubs anyway, so there is no need to buy something now?
