Change account
Hi, I know similar questions have been asked before, but before I try anything else:
I installe World of Warships and created a new login.
I totally forgot that I created a wargaming account years ago.
Unfortunately I cannot see an option to log into the steam version with the old account (new account is automatically used).
How can I change the account at the start to my old wargaming?

Thanks!

You cannot. Steam version of the game only allows you to play with Steam-created accounts. Need to download the standalone client to play with standard Wargaming account.

Not sure what you're saying. Was your old account on Steam or, the web? If you have the web launcher installed, you can run a scan for the game using it. If your account was for the Steam version, it may detect it by adding an account but, in order to log into it using the web launcher, the Steam name has to be the same on the Web launcher as it is on Steam. However, you should using a different email address for it than the one you have for Steam.

It's hard for me to remember exactly how it's done but, I have an alternate account on Steam that I can play WoWs using it on Steam and/or, the web launcher. They have two different email addresses though. I can launch the game from both platforms like when I don't want to log into Steam and just play the game via the web, with one less app running to save on CPU & GPU usage.

Although, you have to have both installs for the game installed. I have the web install in on one drive and Steams version on another. That way, the launcher will detect both installs and versions. Just never use the same login address you use for Steam. On any game application for that matter. Keep your Steam account separate.
