The only thing I see different is that this is a strong buff to destroyers. It was only mandatory on them. Other ships could do without whilst taking a small chance. Everyone can do without 5% health. 5% isn't worth 200k credits or w/e the purchase price is.
I'm just unhappy one of the last vestiges of realism is leaving. But I'm not terribly unhappy that my 4800 det flags have become somewhat useful.
(Reworked) CVs and subs never could det, both want bonus health. I never ran it on BBs, and only haphazardly on cruisers depending on the ship and my inclination.
No-Dets was mandatory on DDs in a way that it wasn't for other ships; whereas there's no ships that don't want some extra HP.
Without looking at the armory, I'm thinking the flags are around 200k each. I'd buy them for a DD if I didn't have them. I won't buy 5% health for any ship. At least that's my current thoughts. The only flags I buy are -20% fire and +5% speed.
Wargaming was on the verge of making an actual good decision for once, so I guess it's no surprise that they had to come up with a way to ♥♥♥♥ it up in the process...
