First Steel Ship

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some recs for my first steel ship. For the record, I more or less just play Ops and Asym when it's out. I prefer battleships, but could be swayed towards a cruiser as well. I don't like DDs. I have all the German/Pan-Am secondary ships, and love them. I also love the Yamato and the IJN supership as well. Will also take out Georgia, Thunderer and St. Vinny from time to time.

I'm currrently trying to decide between the Mecklenberg, Incomparable (not sure how it stacks up vs. St. Vinny, which I also like), Lauria and Shikishima. Not interested in the Bourgogne as I never liked the french BBs all that much (too many overpens, and while the T9 was nice, I hated Republique).

The plan is to use them for Ops and Asym play pretty much only.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

PS: I don't play on Steam, which is why it shows like no play time.

Meck may be up your alley for what you want to play, you get a bit of everything and the bots won't generally punish you too hard like human opponents would.

I would recommend Mecklenburg or Bourgogne with that approach.

Bourgogne that ship will but a smile on your face. Fast reload and reload booster Is amazing you won't last two savos on most ships giving your sides. Followed by Shikishima Love this ship huge hard hitting shells will kill anything 500m whats not to like even the secondaries are not that bad super high scores In Asym battles they smash everything fast reload just stay back 16 to 18km destroy bot ships so they can't burn you.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Now another question, if it was down to just asym, and not including ops, would the suggestions change from Mecklenberg?

nah I would still go with Meck, but just don't pretend you are a full-on secondary BB, she isn't quite that tanky if the bots gang up on you. She is still very fun in Asym tho!

Polish If you get this ship he can be real bad In Asym this ship will burn down kind of fast I also use he shells at range In random battles Its a great fire starter also long range. Any ship In Asym will burn If given a chance or push to hard with five ships using he. ,Just keep your distance and stay safe and choose when to go In when they are thinned out. Hey get them all later on.
