Steam stores your default server's region in a text file in the game's folder. If you go in and edit that you should be able to relaunch the game into the EU region with an EU based account.

Does mean starting from scratch though, as progress in different regions doesn't carry across.

Alternatively, you can grab the WarGaming Centre client from WG's website, and specify the region you want to join from there.

There is no cross-server play. If your friend is on EU and you arent then you would need to make a new account on that server. If you use the WarGaming launcher then its a lot easier to have multiple accounts on different servers but just be aware that progress isnt shared between them.

When you are on the same server you can search for their in-game tag via the chat button on the bottom left of the port screen and add them to your contacts so you can play in a division with them.

Wtf... is this 2011?

Well thank you for your response.
Is there a way I can log out of this account on steam so I can make a new one using Steam?

But don,t you loose all the ship you own on the server your on when you change to another server?
that the impression i got ,
you need to buy those ship again to be able to use them on the change to server,
because those ship are locked to the server your on first?.

You don't technically lose anything. Your old account stays where it is and you can play it further with the WG launcher (as long as you linked your account to a WG account).

But you cannot transfer any of that stuff over to another server and will start your account there from scratch.

If you only just made your account then I guess you arent losing anything. Theres enough people on all the servers that theres no need for them to combined and lag would become a serious issue in matches for many people, so why create problems like this if its not necessary?

As above, you might have more luck making an account using the WG launcher since you can easily have multiple accounts on different servers which really isnt supported on Steam.
