Doubloons and why new players should not waste a dollar on this game

So ive just picked this game up started playing this week and ive noticed pretty much everything in this game is set up to auto spend your Realmoney currency lost over 300 with no clue as to how, they basically set to steal nickle and dimes from you hoping you wont care/notice that small amount. took over 300 from me and even then if it was only 25 imagine that multiplied by the playerbase they stealing alot of money off people

It's your choice to spend money, it's not required to spend to make progress.

When using flags/camo you have to be very careful to uncheck the box to use in game currency to replenish (I usually turn off the replenish and manually set camo/flags anyway). It's a little sneaky that they set it to use dubloons by default--I believe this may be what OP is referring to.

I see that, for every ship flags and camo sometimes the camo check box is not there some times it is, also when you sell ships with modifications. like they trying to nickle and dime everyone. 25 here and there might not seem much to the individual but between the whole player base?. Kinda seems intentional to me specially since it always defaults back to spending them, sure the option is nice and all. but as someone who is new and going through alot of ships, and constantly having to micromanage not losing doubloons, its a little much

Well your first problem is.
Sell with modals, not demount
Yes uncheck auto resupply, it's also caught me once or twice.
It's been a week, why'd you already buy something if you're this unsure about it.
It doesn't forcefully remove anything. Just in game currency, I don't know how in a week you're brand new and losing credits that bad since you don't even get credit drain until at least 8, 7 if you're just the worst player and only lose.

It's kind of scummy, but there're there to make money. There is a mod you can get that fixes this, disables all the auto-spends. Download the modstation and get the scrooge mod from the port section.

Maybe its in Co op. You don't earn a whole lot there.

some paint jobs are 125 and like i said sometimes the check box is there and sometimes it is not, i found out the hard way because i wasent micro managing every little aspect and doubloon. Not talking about repair costs for the silver or the silver at all thats fine when you compare it to warthunder its great and im earning just fine already got 3 T6 ships

He's probably talking about the doubloons. It'll autospend doubs if you don't turn it off on a few of the signals that are available for that.

He says pretty much everything though.. and that's surely an exaggeration. I'm pretty sure it's only a few signal flags. Maybe camo?

Yep, as long as they are "legal" mods. Everything in the modstation should be ok though so you have nothing to worry about so long as you get them there.

was the camos they are 125(well one of them is atleast for me) and when i checked i didnt see a "dont spend" check on one ship so i assumed for all plus i got camos and flags galore probably from being new and doing thoes get to the portal missions.

I have done that mistake to but my self to blame for not reading properly
