Any good aiming tips for angled ships?
I have no problems aiming at ships when theyre going left/right or comming towards/away from me.

But when theyre kind of at an angle or zig zagging DDs etc I never know where to aim exactly.

If they're going towards you, try shooting around where the bow hits the waterline, and slightly to the side they're going towards. As for Zig-Zagging DDs, try to predict where they'll turn next and shoot there

Keep an eye on the aiming circle on the mini-map. It shows roughly where your shot will land in relation to the target. This is significantly easier if you've made that part of the HUD larger. Beyond that its practice and knowing your ship's gun mechanics.

You often have to aim higher than you might think. For the DDs, fire one turret at a time at slightly different spots to make it really hard to dodge.

Learn how centrifugal force works. This is useful for targetting zig-zagging DDs and fast cruisers. Also look at smokestacks to determine speed and keep in mind that any turn reduces the ship's speed

To be honest, I need to make the aiming guide here. But considering the fact that my premium ships guide received so low like count, despite being posted half a year ago, I won't make the new guide any time soon

yeah but i just used that as an over exagerated example. Might as well be a BB etc.

That's what I do in gearing, Tease BB's to waist shots on me. - I had a super good guy in a DD kiting my shots for the whole match, I don't think I saved the replay but he was in a french fast DD, It was fun I don't think I got him in the end. - I'm usually quite good in guessing theyr next move, This is where experience is key in this game, but normally it's very low skill mostly RNG.

Positioning helps.
Put your ship somewhere that forces the enemy to choose between showing broadside to either you or your teammates, and it becomes literally impossible for them to angle-kite against every teammate on your flank.

If they are are exploiting your shell travel time in order to juke shots, then that's a good sign that you're too far away to have battle impact. Need to think about what constitutes safe range.

Flamu's dictum is: "Always shoot the DD; any damage against a DD is good damage against a DD". Same applies to subs.

If your positioning and range is decent, then it's always worth taking shots at DDs - even if they juke your shells, forcing them to commit to an evasion means teammates can read that evasion and potentially land shots whilst they're trying to rebuild their speed.

As for aiming against angled ships - look at the minimap ("+" key to expand it) and put the aiming-point circle on the nose of your target ship (or along the line projecting from that ship if you're locked onto them) - that's a good start.

Probably not useful info but here I go.

You almost never want to use AP shells as the sharp angle has a high change of ricochet, and since we are talking about DDs, AP shells aren't really usefull against them.. Since we are talking about DDs, we have to sort of "predict" where they will be positioned by the time your shells are about to hit the water. If their coming toward you, and moving fast, maybe fire either a little or a lot in front of it. And vice versa if moving backwards. In many cases, you'll encounter zig zagging. From personal experience, I can only counter it by firing a shot in each direction they're moving, like a line. What I mean is I start on the left, and continue to fire by moving the mouse to the right. Vice versa to that aswell. If your too far, it's not worth it trying to fire at them as it gives them a lot of time to move away from your shells, unless your very sure you can hit them (You probably wont). Torpedoes are pretty much useless against them, but I don't think you need that information.

geometry learning curve. and try different sights because the standard one isnt great imo.

Grab whichever "nomogram" dynamic sight you like best from either the official WG Modstation, or from Aslain's modpack.
