Advice for 150 Ribbons mission
Noob question here, but I need go get 150 ribbons in a single battle for the last mission for Independence day, I've tried farming target hits in smoke a bit but I can only get around 100-120 ribbons from this method. Are there any better ways to go about this or should i just keep trying? (It's Randoms and Ranked only btw)

Is it main battery ribbons? One battle? Because if you have a strong secondary ship, 150 ribbions is pretty easy.

Fast firing cruisers or a few different destroyers will be best for main battery, or like Hiei says, if you have a secondary battleship, they can be good. Just be careful not to push in too hard and die because you're in a such a hurry for ribbons.

It's any ribbons, forgot to mention that

Secondaries BB or any ship that fires more than 1 shell per second. (number of guns / reload). I use either Des Moines or Black, at lower tiers the rates of fire generally seem a bit lower, but surely there must be something reasonable.

There are a number of decent mid-tier cruiser options for chasing that. Cleveland, Helena, Lazo, 155mm Mogami to name a few.

But it gets stupidly easy if you can just push into a couple other ships in something like a Scharnhorst '43 or Napoli. Anything with very strong secondaries and enough tank to get in there long enough.
I did mine with lazo, long range, 12 cannons on 4 turets, 9 secon reload time, and have extra fast spoting plane, a beast in tier 6 7 rank, dont try to make it in random battles way to imbalanced and way to many high tier ships

Ships ordered by main battery shells per minute:
https://shiptool.st/params?g=TPt&ty=BCD&n=ABFGHIJRSUVWZ&tn=5&tx=11&c=top&p=mb&rm=12&os=mb&op=Shells_%2F_min&o=desc

Jinan & Haragumo are prominent tech-tree ships with the tier 8s & 9s being comparable; Atlanta prominent mid-tier ship.

Flint as a mid-tier is notable, although not to the degree as Atlanta;
Krasny Krym as a low tier ship both stand out; as does Marble- / Rattleheads.

Aside from that, most of the high tier cruisers and gunboats are fine.

Obviously secondary battery hits are good too if you've got any half-decent secondary spec ship you can cart out.
Ops can be tolerable for farming missions depending on the type of mission, how comfortable you are doing that mission in PvP, and if that mission has 2x requirement for ops.

First choice for this would be a strong secondary ship. German BBs, Massachusetts, Napoli, Michelangelo, Admiral Schröder are the ones mainly coming to mind there. Depends on whether you have any of those available of course.

Second would be gunships with fast reload that can farm from safety. High tier Japanese gunboat DDs, British or PanAsian CLs, Flint and such.

This, use a cruiser with a fast reload speed, preferably a Tier V ship if you're struggling (because at Tier V you have a chance of getting a bunch of bots in the pvp matches, which means easy hits & ribbons). Then simply spray out HE shells (you want a lot of hits, not quick kills from citadel hits) at anything you can while doing your best to avoid being a primary target or letting the enemy get close enough to nuke you with torpedoes.

Marblehead’s got a Shells per minute of 107 so I’ll try bring that our for a spin, hopefully I get matched with some bots

That number isn't real since a lot of the guns only shoot to one side. Should still be easy with it though.
