Welp... I don't know about you guys but those prices are just beyond my measly wallet anyways. Just wondering how the rest of you guys find it. (It's anime so I bet some are willing to pay those prices). I can already hear those whales from the distance making their mating call.

Wait, are we sure about this? This is how it was last time, but I've been looking around to confirm the mechanics for the new containers to see if this is a thing, because these bundles are getting expensive enough for even me to have serious pause.

I haven't found anything in the shop or news articles mentioning a guarantee of new commanders, so the odds on their own seem pretty grim if this isn't a thing.

If a container drops an item from the Ships or Commanders groups, you will receive a ship or Commander that you do not already have. If you already possess all the Ships group items and a container drops an item from this group, you will receive 2x "Azur Lane — Siren" permanent camouflages as compensation. If you already possess all the Commanders group items, you will still receive the items from this group in a random order. You can have an unlimited number of identical Azur Lane Commanders in your roster simultaneously.

Not true for me. 7 boxes so far and 6 were duplicates.

Maybe he already had all the commanders?

If not he should tell WG customer service because their own page says that you can't receive duplicates(unless you already have all of them). I bought 6 boxes and got 0 duplicates, despite me already having all the girls minus 8.

I don't have all the commanders. One was not a duplicate and it was in the last set of 3 I opened. In fact two boxes back to back had the SAME commander. I forget which one. The one I didn't have was London.

I've just had 2 on my team. Didn't end well.

New players obv need to be supported, but it doesn't help for them to be thrust into the higher tier matchmaking with no experience or in depth game knowledge to be semi competent.

I don't really mind if they spent a decent amount on a ship - as that weeds out those not too interested in the game. But when a T8 is going for, what T6? prices it's just an invitation to disaster.

I can also now confirm that the crates indeed do not drop duplicates until you have all of the commanders.

Now sounds like a prime time to play a T8 BB if you want some free citadel ribbons and easier wins than normal. If you're a T8 BB on your team, that's 1 T8 BB slot that isn't Littorio on your team.

Which, to be clear, Littorio is great, but as has been pointed out, in the hands of a total noob that doesn't understand armor and angling yet, she's likely to be a disaster.
