Don't let someone who is banging on a keyboard in some basement upset you. They think what they think, you can't change that, but why give them what they want - which is to upset you? Just a thought.
I rather ignore messages than having to report them. Which I still believe will not do much - at least not for me, as I was already FORCED to read insults. At this point the damage is already done.
But some nerd typing BS from anonymous behind a screen safety....hah, this is meaningless and not worth reading. If it is comprehensible to begin with.
Had one last week that ranted the full battle in all caps against Polish and Czech people because one player on our team had a "CZ" ending on his nickname.
Now as to the OP:
Best I can recommend here is to ignore it. Give a -1 for chat abuse ingame. Then send a ticket to support in the respective category, attaching the replay and/or screenshot(s) (the latter if it happens in port, but maybe also the right spots in the game) to it. And then just forget about the idiot.
Stupid people will be stupid. It's not your job to reform them.
Finger on the pulse! Pretty good. Although I'm happy for people to bring it on :)
Wow, that is one step in the right direction at least.
