Critical Error Occurs Right Before Entering a Battle

Hello all,

I have been experiencing a problem with this game lately. Randomly, the game would crash right before entering a battle.

The error says "a critical error has occurred". So, it only gives me the option to terminate or restart the game. Naturally, it kicks me out and then I get penalized for "quitting the battle". Goes without saying, that this is unfair, as I am not quitting the game deliberately. Because of this, I get the pink color, my in-game karma tarnished, and I am unable to launch any battles after this, as the error keeps on reappearing.

Restarting my PC helps, but just briefly, at any point, the error appears again.

Is someone else here experiencing the same? Can I get assistance to fix this, please?

Verify game files first. I assume your PC meets specs for the game?
If verifying doesn't fix it, contact support. There's instructions on how to do so stickied to the top of the forum. They'll get the game's log from you and be able to tell you what's going on.

Same here, I have verified files, I think its the update or my "official" mods.

Mods is known to cause issues so. Might be it. It happends rarely tho compared to how many hours i'm on.

nope, not mods. it's been happening to me and I don't run any mods.

Small sidenote: If you restart the game quickly enough, you should be able to rejoin the battle without suffering any penalties.

Looks like something else may well be going on, I just joined a co-op battle like normal, a couple of minutes into it, I get a error message pretty much stating that the servers are temporarily not available, the only option is exit the game or try connect, which just says the same thing.

I also have been having the same issue lately. Random but happens every day.
