Is the NA server region-blocked?

When I try to log in from North America it works. However when I try to login from Korea (I usually live in Korea but play on the NA server) this happens.

Has the NA server been region-blocked?

i don't think it has, but a vpn service will get around it if it has.
just get one and have it say you are in the americas somewhere.

Your ping might be too high. Connecting across the ocean can do that.

Using a VPN will make your ping go higher.

I play from NA all the time, and its been happening to me a lot. Yesterday I finally had 0 issues. But the days before, it was terrible. I'm on Fiber. 1000 MBps download 1000 MBps upload

That's a good theory but the opposite is actually what happens. If I play from Korea without a VPN, I can't login. If I use a VPN to set my region to NA however, then it works.

The same thing happens with the player support website:

https://na.wargaming.net/support/products/wows/

That works from NA but it won't open from Korea.

I think they must have recently changed something so that you can only login from the region where your account is... which really sucks for globe-trotters like me since it means a VPN is the only way to play the game now.

If you are playing outside of NA, trying using a VPN set to NA. That's the only thing that works for me.

(I created an NA account and play with my NA friends but I am currently outside of NA.)
