Lion or Conqueror

I am having a blast with the British tier-9 BB Lion... but its XP is nearing the 255k mark of Conqueror. Still need about 2 million credits and then, when I sell the Lion... tier-10 Conqueror.
In current game the Conqueror is better... obviously. More guns, bigger health etc. But there is an update inbound which will raise the citadel of the Conqueror... not the citadel of the Lion.

So I wonder. Is the Conqueror still a better ship? Any thoughts?

You don't need to sell the Lion to get the Conqueror. You just need an empty port slot and enough credits for it and you can keep both.

Empty port slot I got... but keeping Lion add 10M credits I do not have... yet ;-).

Conqueror is way better in my opinion. I did enjoy Lion, but once I had Conq, I wouldn't have a wish to go back. esp since you'd have to build up a second captain.

Conq is being changed soon but both are good with a fairly high skill ceiling.
