Get rid of sonar ping neutralized mechanic for subs
Title. Absolutely ruins their gameplay

get rid of hypersonic homing torpedoes based on sonar ping when you do that, so the already barely fight-able from 90% of surface ship subs don't become even more overpowered and unbalanced.

We need DCP to fix: fire(s), flood(s), broken rudder, broken engine, broken turret(s), broken torp tubes, sonar ping. All on one long cooldown. Longer than submarines' torpedo reload even. You really can't find a window of opportunity? Sounds like a skill issue. You can shoot without pinging too.

Shoot without pinging like everyone else has to do ;) Plus pings often just give away your position.

All pinging a bunch does is tell anyone who's watching where you are.
You make a big splashy effect on the surface and people see the zipping line from your homing laser.
That's how DDs end up finding you, or the ships with depth charge planes.
As Nep said, DCP is used for every single thing ever to fix and the choice between fixing a sub ping or a bunch of fires/broken modules Is a bit of a silly choice.
Sonar pings are more of a crutch.

Just drive up to 1km away from a ship and shotgun them with 6 torpedoes like everyone else using the broken nonsense.

Hey, let's get rid of waterbombs and limited dive time as well, while we're at it. Obviously they make subs completely unplayable. And detection range on the surface should be halfed.

I'm not saying that there isn't some absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when combating submarines, just saying when playing them the pinging system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, it was better in the beta when you had to get two pings on the ship in order for the torpedoes to start tracking

I was pissed off when i wrote title. Still, subs have been in development for how long? and they feel broken af
